Enjoyed your presentation, including the background music! 👍 The IF23 was my first Sofirn torch back in early April and I chose it over the IF24 as I was mainly into 21700 format flashlights. There is still room for the IF24 Pro in my modest collection, but still I haven't thought of buying one. 😀 The IF24 Pro's reflector is actually user removable. Someone told me that he bought a second IF24 Pro and ordered diffuser reflectors from the Convoy online store. He said that, with the modified reflector the SFT40 emitter is extra floody than the original factory equipped one. Not sure why anyone would want a floodier beam (the regular IF24 is floodier to begin with) but apparently the IF24 Pro is customizable to a certain extent. As I already have the IF23 with the 6500K CCT, I'll make sure to get the 5000K version of the IF24 Pro when I decide to buy one! 🔦😎

@@FlashlightTech I find Wurkkos and Sofirn's brightness figures to be somewhat arbitrary and confusing at times. I can understand that smaller lithium ion cells like the 14500 are expected to have lower lumen figures. When it comes to 18650 cell models, both companies advertise their products as capable of outputting anywhere from 1200 lumens to 3500 lumens. The Wurkkos FC13 and FC13s with the Cree XHP50B emitter is rated for 3500 lumens while the FC11c can only manage 1200 lumens with its Nichia 319a LED. These two models use the same 18650 battery format. I've noted that the throwy/floody models like the TS11, FC12, FC13 (SFT40), SC32 and TD02 are advertised as 1800-2050 lumens, but 1200-1300 lumens for the SC13 and FC11 (Samsung LH351D or Nichia 319a) are rather lower than the average output claims. Does it mean that Wurkkos and Sofirn exaggerated some of their products' brightness values but are more truthful with their other models? Or is it because neither the LH351D nor the 319a LEDs are capable of running as hot as the Luminus SST40 or SFT40? 🤔

@@StratmanII As I know 519A, lh351D are about 1000 lm max. SST40 is approximately 1800lm, while SFT40 can go above 2200lm. Sometimes output depends on the battery used.

@@FlashlightTech Thanks for your input, Richard. I guess that explains why my Sofirn IF25A's quad Luminus SST-20 emitters are rated at 3800 lumens while my Wurkkos TS25 quad Samsung L351Ds are good for 4000 lumens in total. 🤔 I just received a Sofirn Sc28 by mail today. It's not my first XHP50 series flashlight, but neither Sofirn nor Wurkkos indicates whether they're using genuine Cree made LEDs or some Chinese copy. I posted a question to Wurkkos and Sofirn's channels on KZbin and received no replies with regards whether they are using non Cree XHP50 or XHP70 series emitters. Charles BridgeTEC, who did a review of the SC28 claims that his review unit was fitted with a Chinese copy of the Cree XHP50B but I've not come across anyone else saying the same thing. It strikes me as odd because both Sofirn and Wurkkos are highly regarded budget flashlight makers and they've been using genuine Samsung, Luminus and Nichia LEDs. I just don't see why both companies would resort to using Cree emitter clones instead of the genuine diodes.

Sofirn are about to release an IF23 Pro. It has the improved ergonomics of the IF24 lights with a few other improvements. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I believe it will be the best EDC flashlight in it's price point.

@@FlashlightTech It seems to be the same with all test results. I honestly don't care about max output. As much as balance point. And this is basically a 4-500 lumen light. If you use it for more then 3-5 minutes. I use my lights to walk my dogs. I like lights that have a balance point of 800-1200. My head lamp balances at 400. No need for a 400 lumen flashlight.
