@6:52 That's a massive difference between the CW and NW.

i ordered one online today in my country. the vendor called me and asked what temperature i want. i said neutral and im glad to see its the best looking one. i intend to use it at work. previously i used the IF22A. a little to heavy, considering i strap it to my helmet. i own many high quality flashlights but sometimes i buy budget flashlights to abuse em.

I got the sc32 this year. It also looks good with a flashlight ring. Just don't push it pass the knurling. It'll be difficult to remove if you got it in slot where the belt clip was.

Seems there is also a HCRI 519A-5000k version. Interested to see how that one looks. Will do a search.

Should be nice I would think. Not planning on reviewing it at this time.

I personally would have preferred that Sofirn went with the matte black finish, but it is what it is. I went with the cool white because their recent batch of neutral white SST40 's have been absolutely hideous. Greenish/yellow from moonlight to turbo. I've never seen a tint as ugly as these were! They should have sent that batch back to Luminous. I had picked up several 5000k SC31 Pro's in various body colors to give away for Christmas and I couldn't even give them as gifts they were so ugly. Glad to see you managed to get a decent tint on yours, but there may be some ugly ones out there yet. I'm surprised you forgot to mention 4 clicks from on switches to smooth ramping. So you have a choice between stepped and smooth ramping with the SC32. In the future Sofirn will more than likely offer a Pro version with Anduril 2 along with different body colors. Hopefully they will get away from the SST40 and offer it with a Nichia 519a in a few color temperatures or at least with LH351D's. Good review as always!

Hi, thank you for sharing information regarding poor batches of Luminus SST40 emitters! I have a 5000K SC31 Pro and it starts on low output with a terrible looking yellow/green tint and gets whiter only at the highest power levels. The color temperature at low power levels appears to be much warmer than 5000K, probably between 3700-4000K. My older SC31 Pro also has an SST40 but it's the 6500K color temp but doesn't look as bad as the 5000K version. On the other hand, my Wurrkos TD02 has a 6500K SST40 but I was fortunate to receive one that has zero yellow/green tint issues. It's amazingly pure white from low all the way to Turbo. Up until now, I have always assumed that all SST40 LEDs have that yellow/green hue characteristics by design. Turned out to be that LEDs made at the factory are sorted into "bins" according to their individual quality, just like computer and graphics processor chips. Higher grade SST40s go into the top quality bins while the lesser ones are chucked into the lower quality bins. It seems like Sofirn is trying to cut manufacturing costs by purchasing SST40s from the lower and cheaper bins. 😞 It's been a year since you left this comment, but there's no sign of an SC32 with Anduril 2. 2024 hasn't been a good year for new Anduril 2 flashlights.

I bought the Sofirn SC21 Pro as my EDC/Car light. I'm deciding between the SC32 and the SP33S for outdoor/camping. Can't seem to find a comparison video for those two light tho

Hey mate, you got another new subscriber here :) I just meant to ask: I charge the Sofirn with the USB cable and then unplug it when the light indicator is green -fully charged. Then, when I turn it on and then off after a while, the same indicator goes immediately red. Any idea as to how? Did the batt not charge properly? Many thanks in advance!
@LiquidRetro Жыл бұрын
So it's not plugged in when it goes red again? Do you have a multimeter to test the battery voltage?
@buzonperiodista Жыл бұрын
@@LiquidRetro yes. I use it after it’s supposedly charged and when I turn it off and then on for a second use, it goes red. I don’t have any measuring device :(
@LiquidRetro Жыл бұрын
That's pretty normal, voltage drops slightly and it takes a minute for it to decide if it's fully charged.

So no ugly green on the NW option? The duv is a bit green I see. I gave this a fairly negative review when it was first released and that had a lot to do with a green tint, it was the worst I'd ever seen that I couldn't bare to look at. However, great review as always.

Definitely not that bad to my eyes. Maybe a little better bin of led now?

Amazon says “will survive a 3ft drop”. I think I’d leave that statistic out if I were trying to sell this. “3’6” drop may disable this product causing permanent damage, especially on carpet or pillows”😂

There are some dual fuel models around, most led flashlights just work so much better at the higher voltage that rechargeable liion offer, and you have other Benifits like no leaking batteries.
