On paper this seems perfect to me. After trying nearly 50 different flashlights, I'd settled on the Convoy M21B as the perfect size in my hands as well as just the right reflector size for my common use-case. The only thing it was missing was a usb charging port. This sk40 looks to be about that same size as an M21B, but with a charging port. I'm excited for this.

SFT-70 in a Sofirn that resembles my SC33? Take my money already! 😁🔦💳💸

Great review, cheers! I wish it had an option with a warmer emitter, I'd buy instantly!

Best to learn how to do an emitter swap and then you can always enjoy the cct you prefer. Sofirn's first run is 6500K because most regulars opt for that option. If Sofirn receive a lot of demand for other cct's then they usually add them later.

Thanks man. Your expert opinion matters so much to me that I just gave $38 to Sofirn, even though I already own a Wurkkos TS23 (great light).

how does it compare to the IF22A...?

From a VERY demanding guy, praising so much this light, I had to get one, or maybe two.

Maybe Sofirn paid me to say nice things 😜 If I had to change something it would be a better looking side switch and perhaps 5000K. I do find though, that 6500K sells so much better in my store, warmer temps can sit there untouched for months, so I understand why 6500K is always their first choice.

Lol! Simon needs to pay you too😂 I think when we read too much BLF, we believe everyone loves nice tint and high cri, but its actually quite the opposite in real world.

By the way, is still L21b SFT40 your best seller for hunting?

I caved. Ordered. I have the C8L but I did think it lacked a little max oomph and this SK40 seems to fix that and it's SMALLER so more pocketable which is another bonus over the C8L so I think the C8L will disappear unless there is something I am missing as to why it should not? I see the C8L holds 2500 lumens for 5 mins and drops to 1100 at 6 mins whereas the SK40 drops to 1100 after 2 mins so that is quite different with the C8L winning that one.
Yes it is shining on the house, it's just that the hotspot is so large at 150m that it doesn't stand out the same.

You put the SR15's 1000 lumen sustained output in the Don't Like column, but this has only 100 more and it's in the Do Like column...
@PiercingTheDarkness13 сағат бұрын
Try 560 lumens at 30 minutes. I guess you only looked at the measurement I include at 5 minutes to be 1062 and thought that was the sustained output. The smaller SR12 sustains a higher output at 659. The SR15 was a poor release. My Sofirn contact agreed with me and were surprised it performed so badly.

Hello everyone. I'm about to purchase my first flashlight ever. I can't really decide between the C8L (for 42,60€), the SK40 (44,50€) and possibly the Nitecore MT1A pro (50€) Which one would you recommend?
@matheusmf4135Сағат бұрын
Best performance, but biggest: C8L More pocket friendly and almost good: Sk40 Smaller one, but way lower performance: mt1a pro.
