I wish many women knew about this "Type" of body types. So they wouldnt be so insecure about their bodies. The media not being able to fool them that the "ideal" body types are the likes of Victoria's Secret models or Hollywood actresses mostly have "Dramatic" body types. My mom has a "Natural" body type and my sister has a "Romantic" body type.

So many SD have been so fearful of their big presence and curves.
@northstar26213 жыл бұрын
I bet it would at least help. For me it was the realization that my body type legit is a thing, not just an unfortunate mismatch of features that couldn't be turned into an "ideal" body no matter how hard I exercised and dieted. There was suddenly more than just a "beautiful and slender and slim" category, there was now also a "beautiful and handsome and robust" category that I was able to fall in without feeling like I'm giving up. After years of feeling inadequate I didn't just fall short in every aspect of what I was "supposed" to be in my mind, I was not the disappointing "close but not close enough" that I always thought I was, I was not a random collection of "meh" body parts that previously had to be worked on to be less like what they always were. I am actually a perfect representation of something other than the old ideal I thought I had to be like now. There is a valid "new" type that I represent, a type that looks good and looks like ME, that is not just a second best option and doesn't mean settling for what I can't improve, because nothing has to be improved. Suddenly, in my eyes, I'm beautiful.

I have talked with some SD and have read several articles, while researching what should I wear. Am I the only one who noticed that a lot of SD were bullied in school for being ugly and then became the sexual (not always a beauty at the same time) icon in media or in their circle? I think it's because SD appereance is a bit mature and more sexy then cute and pretty in comparison to N and F types, so before puberty they might look "too big"and awkward.

This was definitely my experience. I’m an SD. I was an ugly duckling, to put it mildly, as a teen. Very heavy, mature looking, etc. Once I hit my 20s, everything changed. From all I’ve read and been told, Soft Dramatics tend to be the one ID that especially needs some maturing to come into their own. Most of the verified SDs seem to get better and better with age such as Monica Bellucci, Sophia Loren, etc.

This has confirmed I'm SD! It was so clear to see when comparing all the body types. I'm 5ft 10 tall so I can't possibly be anything but D SD or FN. I'm not D, so I've been confused between SD and FN for a long time. I always gravitate to SD style. And no waist emphasis makes me look absolutely massive and messy. I have this curve dominance too. I've always felt big and heavy and not because I'm overweight but because my natural frame is really big. I'm very tall so it makes sense that I would feel this way. My sister is as tall but she is so narrow and straight, she is a D for sure. I'm so shocked because I've always judged myself and felt big and ugly, I've always felt twice the size of other women, and like there's something dominating about me, I'm not delicate and I've always resented it. But when I see all these SD women I realise how beautiful and sexy they are. Its really changed how I feel about my body type. ❤️

This just shows you how messed up women are because of the fashion industry. OK, I'm gay and love fashion. But I keep telling girls, fashion models are the standard of beauty for GAY MEN. I have straight guy friends and they keep telling me - tall and thin is not hot ! Average height, even shorter, and CURVY is hot. Since you're very tall, but you have curves, so you're still attractive to most men, in my opinion and experience ( seeing what straight guys I know like ) You look very pretty in your profile pic too, your face looks very slim and oval, so I don't know what you mean by big frame.

Never related to something more. I’ve never been fat but somehow I always felt bigger and heavier than other women, and why?? Well, now i know. SD are not narrow and thin, we have larger bones, like large knees, large shoulders, large hips; all of that bones, not necessarily fat. Interesting

This video helped me to confirm my ID as Soft Dramatic. I've been doubting it a little because my face isn't super sharp (it has some blunt bones like Rachel Weisz and Morena Baccarin) and because I'm a ''pear shape'' and most stereotypical Soft Dramatics I see have bigger boobs. I was wondering if I was a curvy FN like Jennifer Lawrence but I don't think so, since even when I had very low body fat I still had pronounced curves and didn't look athletic at all.

@@shironerisilk interesting, I think you are that type of soft dramatic that has a bit more wideness-squareness to their bone structure. @shironerisilk3 жыл бұрын
@@andressamazgka Yes, I think you are right. A bit more square/wide/blunt than most textbook SDs but not enough to fall into the Natural family. The first thing people notice about me is my height followed by the curves, but I personally feel I lack a bit of sharpness I see in other SDs (even if I can be narrow at points with a small waist (and a small waist/hip ratio), elongated limbs and narrow hands and feet. My shoulders are a bit more sloped, I think almost like SN shoulders. About the fleshy upper arms, they used to make me so inscure too, but seeing the SD body type celebrities helped me a bit so I don't feel that bad anymore lol Also sharp shoulders on SDs [like you mentioned you have] look amazing, it's a great feature to have.
@andressamazgka3 жыл бұрын
@@shironerisilk yepp, I don't think all SDs have to have exact same bone structure. There's SDs with more squarish vibe like Sophia, also some have more sloped shoulders, like the ginger lady Aly showed in this video (dk her name :v) and also makes me think of Rihanna, a lot of people consider her SD although she has smaller sloped shoulders (I honestly don't know if she is or isn't, but it's a possibility). Kibbe has nothing to do with race. I just saw Tyra Banks in here, Lupita Nyongo in another video etc. Kibbe is about beautiful women of all body types and colors. I’m mixed does that mean I need a “mixed girl only” Kibbe video? No. It’s about the body type and bones and flesh, yin and Yang, and fashion. Race isn’t a factor in Kibbe but I’m sure there is a market for that type of thing you can start! Love yourself. ❤

@@AlyonaY I checked the romantic video again- I want to thank you for all your work❤️, but what I miss in that romantic video is more talk about the clothes- the way you explain it in this excellent SD video😀. The romantic video (around 11 minutes) was mainly focusing on spotting the physical differences between them and other types, while this SD video (20 minutes) includes much more then that, about clothes, lines, style❤️ Thats what I miss! Love your videos and many thanks❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾

I was confused between whether or not I’m a soft dramatic or soft natural. This clarifies it for me. I’m definitely a soft dramatic. Thank y it for this video. Turns out, I already dress to accomodate this. It took me about 27 years to learn what styles work on me. And I’m now 29 and feel most comfortable with my body than I ever have. This video clarifies so much, though! Appreciate your hard work!

I feel most myself in Dramatic Classic clothing but I'm 5'9". I'm definitely not a FN nor a Dramatic and by description I think I could be a Soft Dramatic. But ornate clothing, wrap style tops, large prints, and other things recommended for SD make me look too OTT. I have to keep every element very balanced or whatever is out of balance takes over. For instance, a wrap top may be flattering as I absolutely must have waist emphasis or I look big, but will look so trashy on me. Structured simple clothes in solid colors look much better. Idk. It's all so confusing for me.

The easiest look for the soft dramatic would be pin up girl :). I know for me I'm a true hourglass figure but my waist is not a skinny now that I'm older, and it was always tiny. Its slso takes much working out to keep the fleshy parts under control!

This video was so helpful, thank you! I couldn’t tell if I was a SD or FN but now I see I am a SD. I was also just typed as one. Hi, I am curious about the following: so there's no limit for the shorter women as Mae West/she is discussed on Reddit as SD/ but there's limit for the taller women since they are put only in 3 types: D,FN and SD. Its seems like there is not enough options for us, even if we have essence different than the 3 taller types. I posted myself for typing and I got mostly FN even though I am 171 cm and have a small waist. /measurements 88/65/98/. Its seems like if you're taller than 170 they automatically type you as a D or FN.

Thank you so much, love your channel, just subscribed. I have this yin-yang intuition too and I get it that these guidelines are about an overall vibe, a spectrum. I can really see how you are dramatic classic after learning a bit about Kibbe. I'm not 100% sure about my own type as I don't think it's so easy to type oneself. However, I believe I'm a flamboyant natural. If you think about the kind of clothes that complement you it can help,. I wasn't sure if I was soft dramatic or FN, but delicate floral prints can look really good and me, and tie-dye sometimes. Also bed-hair - long, loose and unstyled. No way would that fly with a soft dramatic!

It's interesting to me that very few soft dramatics are blonde. I'm one- and I color my hair darker since i was teenage to give it more richness in color. I wonder if a soft dramatic can rock blonde hair. In the blonde realm, only platinum really looks great on me, i think.
@AdrienneJung.M2 жыл бұрын
Fellow blonde SD here. I have gone darker many times too. I think we can't do the sleek wispy baby blonde hairstyles (Reese Witherspoon, Meg Ryan) that most blondes have due to naturally thin straight hair. My hair texture is like my body, thick and curvy. When it is blonde, I elevate the highlights and wear my hair in full bodied, sometimes ornate, waves and curls. If I straighten it, something looks out place, like I'm wearing a wig. I do find that no matter what my hair color is, my brows look way better dark.....your hair looks beautiful btw
@bela.buarque2 жыл бұрын
You mentioned platinum hair and I've heard about thay before, because SD match the "dramatic" look, one color hair, "sabe" hair, that actually matches the yang side of SD.

I’m exactly the same but I think I’m an SD now. How tall are you if it’s ok to ask? I’m 168 cm but I have long arms which makes me think I’m an SD. I did also think I was a soft classic as that’s what I was on the quiz but it didn’t suit my essence if that makes sense
@Tashax4053 жыл бұрын
@@tallisinwonderland4724 I'm same height as you almost exactly - I also considered soft classic but I don't have the symmetry. I realised I have proportionally long limbs compared to the rest of my body rather than short so I'm probably a "tall" type despite not actually being that tall.

@@Tashax405 I don’t think I have long legs but they’re a bit chunky so that makes it difficult to tell 😂 people always think I’m tall even though I’m not particularly 🤔 I think age also plays a part. @theveryfirstlostgirl Жыл бұрын
keep in mind that the small/tall is more about you’re proportioned, how tall you *look*, vs your literal height. If people always think you’re taller than you are, that’s a goof indication that you’re a D or maybe N.

Soft Dramatics usually look odd in trainers. They look amazing when being dressed up and having put some effort on their outfit. Yes: ornateness, some earrings, the hair in huge soft curls, spot on their curves. Power colours, no pastels. Bold eyebrows and lipstick. This never looks like “too much”, it rather accomplishes and balances out their feature of being present in room.

So I think Soft Dramatics are just a Yang, dramatic skeleton, with romantic/yin flesh? I've been trying to figure out my kibbe type or an eternity. I kept typing myself as TR because of my fleshy skin and waist shape, but I'm 5'6" and I have big skeletal features(long bony feet and nose, wider jaw). So, I think I'm SD?? Please let this be the end of it! 🤣

I feel like SD have a curvy bone structure, I’m a Soft Dramatic but my cup size is actually small, it just looks bigger because my rib cage is big and curved, my waist isn’t small but it is naturally curved my hips are even to my size and they’re curved. So basically kinda Slim thick but the main thing is tall, body (no matter the inches) looks curved and proportionate. Long limbs and bigger longer hands and feet. Face usually has long or sharp nose (very prominent) with cheek bones and wide-ish jaw. I hope this helps. ^^

I'm very short and don't look elongated (unless I wear at least some amount of heels or when I'm much thinner when my legs look elongated) but I'm 100% certain that I'm Soft Dramatic. (I've learned in the Kibbe Facebook group that elongated doesn't always mean tall. It can also mean that you have elongated physical features compared to yourself, not compared to other people and not all of them need to be elongated that your Image Archetype can be one of the elongated ones). I'm very lush and curvy. I'm like a mixture of Sofia Vergara face type (lush and a little bit wide) and Sophia Loren body type which looks curvier and a little bit less elongated. I have prominent and lush facial features + exotic eyes. I look good with large hairstyles and jewelry. I look good with large ornateness. I have thought that Romantic would have been a possibility for me but any of my features don't look delicate (some of them are small but they are more lush than delicate) and my essence is not romantic at all. It is said that romantics are always hour classes but I become wide on my waist when I gain weight. I think Romantics always look somehow delicate. The other possibility I had in mind was Soft Natural but it doesn't feel right either. I think there are always some exceptions to the examples, like Audrey Hepburn. But the overall impression and essence + all the things about the silhouette of the clothes and the size of the prints, jewelry, etc. are the same no matter the height.
