It's one thing to set your shocks to soft or hard , BUT , there is really only a small margin that's correct . Shocks need to be set to match the spring rate , too soft or too hard on the shock settings can cause serious handling issues . The shock absorbers role is to control the spring , in compression and rebound and just setting it to soft or hard is not right at all .
@RickTheSpud Жыл бұрын
Exactly. That's why I set them to 20 on the road. Used to be 15 but it wasn't enough.

Can you dampen them to feel stock when riding on rough roads? Sorry for the noob question looking to lower the car but keep a comfy ride. Based on what. Fully soft is softer than standard springs. It's like a boat.
@Zeriel00 Жыл бұрын
@@RickTheSpud It all depends on the car and the suspension. I have Tein Monosports, on full soft my car (MR2 Spyder) will barely move on the back and won't even budge on the front. 16 soft back, 14 soft front (Out of 16). Also, make sure your height is over 13'' from the hub. On Factory settings they felt like your riding a wild horse and the car is going to throw you off from the imperfections on the road. Now they feel almost like stock but when you need them, taking a hard corner, they feel rock solid. If you're running racing suspensions and you don't have perfect roads like maybe Arizona, then I suggest as soft as you can get away with.
