Softball Hitting: Load Stride and Timing

Consistently making contact with the ball can come down to your load, stride and timing.
You want to make sure to stride softly onto the balls of your feet. This will help you to maintain balance and ensure that you’re in-line with the pitcher. You will also want good upper-body load. By coiling your core, you can drive your hands back into a powerful position.
Timing is going to be different for each hitter and will be dependent on the pitcher and the velocity of their pitches. The harder a pitcher throws, the earlier you will need to start your stride and load.
