Softball Pitcher Tips: How to Have an Effective Arm Swing

A good, tight arm swing can help pitchers be more accurate in their throws and generate maximum power.
To achieve an effective arm swing, you will want to focus on reaching high as you stride out toward the plate. Your arms should remain straight and inline. Think about brushing by your ear and reach for the ground on the way down. Finish with a strong wrist snap.
You can practice your arm swing with the Arm Swing Drill. Find a padded wall or fence and stand parallel with your hips facing it. Reach high for the sky and throw the ball into your glove. Move closer to the wall for an extra challenge.

This is perhaps correct for beginner pitchers, but advanced pitchers usually pitch with internal rotation instead of "reaching for the sky". Just look at slower motion videos of cat osterman or Monica Abbot. Even the little girl in this video pitched that method if you slow the video down.

This is so wrong. This a perfect example of why the quality of play across all levels. Has dropped drastically. I'm too tired to sit and write out all that is wrong.
