I know this was 10 years ago, but dang this is a lifesaver. My 10 gear old got thrown into pitching bc ours was out and never pitched a day in her life before. Coach wasnt much of a coach when it came to pitching. Just "hey get up there and give it a shot" needless to say she did alot of illegal pitches. But THIS is a gamechanger. Windup position is on point now. Anyways, THANKS!!!

I've loved softball for 2 years now but I've never played on an actual team. My mom is going to out me in the league and I'm so excited! But I'm 13 and most girls who play that are my age, have been playing since they were 5 or soo.. I'm pretty good at shortstop and 2nd but I really want to pitch. Back in the day, when I played ball, my absolute favorite pitch was my screw ball and I'm left handed. I love your video!! It reminds me of when I took pitching lessons a long time ago. 19 plus years and the muscle memory hasn't left me. I'm proud to teach other girls how to pitch.

You have taught me so much about pitching, I’m am a 12 years old and I’m a pitcher this is my first year playing softball before I’ve played a little with my cousins but that’s when I didn’t know much about softball my family has all played softball but not fast pitch so I didn’t really have much help but you my teammates and coach Sammi have really helped I played a game a few days ago and I was super proud of me and my team we didn’t win but it was a close game. i have been pitching for 6 years now ( im 12! I started softball when i was four, so i have been playing for 8 years... 16 seasons!) I pitch and can throw a fast ball (all corners), a change up, and a drop ball. We clocked my fast ball and it was 50 MPH! I love pitching and im hoping they put softball back in the olympics... always been my dream!

I am pitching for my 3rd year now and I think it is important to snap your wrist after every pitch. When you don't snap your wrist you are just using your arm and that could cause you to throw out your arm.

This is very helpful. I've been pitching since I was 8 I'm now 22. I'm helping coach the girls at my old high school. Each of the girls I have taught know 4 to 6 different pitches & I barely get the season to work w/them &started working last year. We got new head coaches &I found it discouraging that they called my pitchers not pitchers but throwers just bcuz they don't throw super fast. I've taught them physical & mental parts of being a pitcher. how should i handle it w/o causing conflict.

Vicki South I joined when I was like ten and I'm now I'm in an advanced travel team. I believe that you should get into softball, so what if your age group knows more? Eventually, you'll catch up. It may take time and a lot of sweat and tears, but you should try. We have new players every season, ranging from 11-15 (talking about other age groups) and the next year, they catch up and seem like they've been doing it for years. Don't start later than now, take the chance and try.

Mirian Diaz from personal experience the thing that has helped me with tryouts for travel teams and for high school/middle school is obviously everyone knows to always always hustle never walk. Another huge and crucial part is to be aware of what’s going on, be enthusiastic and also be receptive to any corrections you’re given. If you’re showing that you’re coachable and you’re giving your absolute best they’ll more than likely take good note of that. I’ve been playing ever since I was 8 but sometimes tryout nerves get the best of us. Just be yourself and be confident. Give it your best and you got it girl!

This is about my second year pitching and i cant seem to hit the strike zone. Im practicing alot and can get the pitch fast in practise but in games i am throwing it slower and missing the strike zone. I taught myself how to pitch and im wondering is it nessecary to snap ur wrist after every pitch? Any replies wil be helpful!
