I only played cricket throughout my life and I hit the ball very hard into the stands (for 6). I never played or followed Baseball or a Soft ball in my life and I have no idea about the rules of this game. But the time has finally come. I recently came to Canada and my organization is conducting a Softball tournament and I am participating with some cricketing skills of hitting the ball. This video has helped me gain some knowledge about Softball though the rules are quite different from Cricket. I hope I enjoy as much as I enjoyed cricket. Thanks for uploading this video.

Wish I had found this video sooner. Me and a bunch of my gym friends have played three games just for some summer fun. Maybe a handful knew the game rules and process. I did what they told me to do - with a lot of confusion sometimes - and performed decently they tell me, but I think my teams and I would’ve done a lot better if more of us had seen this and known how the whole thing worked. Many times I just stopped running if the person in front of me had already caught the ball. I still don’t understand the rules about that. I think more of us would’ve invited additional people if we’d known how many players were needed per team. Thanks for posting this video! I’ll be a little better prepared next game.

im a freshman and im playing this in gym class. gym in my school has either fresh-soph or junior-senior classes. in my gym class theres fresh-soph and according to my teacher once youre older, you have to know how to play so future younger kids have it easier. this video helped me understand luckily because lots of the kids in my class play baseball or know the rules 😭

I’m going to try out for my high school team. I’m a freshmen with 0 experience. I’m confused on how running the bases work. So you hit the ball and run to first base, and then what? Do you stay there? Do you wait until someone else hits the ball to run to 2nd base? I’m really just confused on how all of it works.

Well the best to explain it is ALWAYS run through first base unless you know you can get another/more bases. (FIRST BASE IS THE ONLY BASE YOU CAN RUN THROUGH) Now if you only get a single after you run through the base turn to the first base dugout that way you can’t get tagged out. If you want to be successful in softball (or any other sport) it takes hard work, being disciplined and being dedicated. Good luck on your journey!!

@@dxnkjojo491 say you hit the ball to center field like kinda far. You’re gunning for second but it all depends on what ur coach says. Another situation, say you hit it shortstop. All your trying to do there is make it to first. I’m a freshman as well. Your coaches will tell you what to do but as you get older they talk less and less. I hope that was a little better. ik it's been four months, but you wait until the next batter goes. if you're on first, you have to run to second because two people can't be on a single base. try your best to get to second base. if the ball gets there before you do, you're out. if you make it there, then the next batter goes up. on that hit, you try again to get to third base. rinse and repeat until you make it to home base. hope this makes sense :)

I have played softball for 5 years and you do not fave to hit the ball to get around the bases the pitcher could pitch 4 bad pitches and you get to go to first or if you are older the Cather can drop the third strike you can run to first but if the catcher throws the ball to the first base and the ball makes it there before you you are out. And if you are new your coach and teammates will help you figure out how to play❤.

@@imobsessedwithninjago hey love, its going good. I haven't fully immersed myself into it yet in terms of knowing all the ins and outs. I took part in my first tournament that ended last week and our team won! I even played in a couple of the games and wow it was an eye opener lol ALSO took the leap and tried out for our national team.... I did well for the most part which I didn't expect. especially the fitness aspect. Waiting for those results now. yikes this is a mouthful hehehe
