Hey dude, love your presentation style! If I can offer some unsolicited advice, it'd be great to have cutaways with other visuals that show what you're describing as you describe it. Looking forward to more.

Thanks so much! Yeah. I’m still figuring out how to do the whole “b-roll” thing. I’ll definitely keep trying to improve though. 😊

This was a fire video! Helped me out greatly as I been debating getting a parabolic soft box with a grid for more directional lighting. Keep grinding bro, don’t worry about others comments to much and following patterns others are doing! You come off very genuine and are carving out your own lane, this will help you in the long run. God bless you bro!

You might trying using manual focus, often when you move your hands the camera pulses and loses focus of your face.
@TheSpareTechRoom8 ай бұрын
lol I definitely noticed that. I usually have the focus locked off, but in my half-asleep state I accidentally moved the focus point. 🤦🏽♂️

Thank you so much for this! The algorithm is in your favor - I was searching for education regarding these types of modifiers (I’m way new to all of the hardware needed for talking head videos), and this by far was the best video made. Thanks for doing your research to reach people like me!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Looking forward to more of your content 👍

What do I attach the lantern soft box too? A light stand with a bulb?
@TheSpareTechRoom2 ай бұрын
Hi Ashley! The softbox is a light modifier, so you'll need to connect it to a video light in order for it to work, specifically one with a "bowens mount". I linked the one I use in the description box. It's the best budget light I could find, and I've been using it for years now on all my videos. I hope that helps!

be that guy, like the vid man keep it up! I prefer shadowy moody myself but I love my lantern softbox for more commercial looks. easy to get a more even soft lighting. Wear all types of T-shirts!

Nice content, keep going 😊 Wish I could get a big softbox in my main studio. It being 6" square, I opted for godox ml30bi 😂
@TheSpareTechRoom8 ай бұрын
Godox makes some great lights too. If you can't fit a softbox, you might want to try bouncing the light off the wall or a sheet. That will help create a larger, softer light source...as opposed to just shining the light right on the subject.

Great video but feels like it could've been 4 minutes shorter.

The changes in focus are quite distracting. You might want to check how you can avoid them.
@TheSpareTechRoom4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the heads up. It looks like I just had the focus point set incorrectly, but it should be all good in my newer videos. :)
