Thanks for covering this solution. We use Airtable quite a bit at my job and I’m thinking this is a much better way to have our users interact with the data vs what we do today which is add them as Contributors. Airtable makes it far too easy for people to add other users to our bases thereby causing our user count to increase without my knowledge. As well, the interfaces it appears I can build with Softr *and* have our users interact with the data means we could reduce our Airtable user count next renewal time. I think it’d be more cost effective to pay for a few Builders and Contributors in Airtable but then everyone else gets access via Softr.

That strategy can certainly work! It all comes down to who you need accessing the information, and what they need to do with the data they have access to. It does add another technical layer of management and may force you to add a few extra fields to your airtable tables, but the tradeoff is well worth it if you have hundreds or thousands of people accessing it. Yeah. I’m pretty sure every company has way more Airtable users than they need. I too am going to try softr to accomplish work orders and inventory management outside of Airtable but still use the back end. Thanks for the video!

Thanks for the video, quick question. I've built a site where companies can post jobs. When clients submit the 'job posting form' it adds their job to the 'job listing' that all non-logged-in users can see. How do I create a form that allows the companies who posted their job, to see only their job specifically and that it is live?

Based on your comment, it doesn't sound like you're looking for a "form", but rather a page that contains a limited set of data. Unless we've misunderstood your goal, you could accomplish this in two different ways. The first is conditional filters.(docs.softr.io/displaying-and-creating-data/vikC2AWEpQGkZd4jGyoVxo/list-conditional-filters/mDnn7jnpPiYmJcT99jpt7m) On your "my posted jobs" page - that's supposed to be viewed by companies and only contains the jobs they've posted - you could use conditional filters for the list block that contains the jobs. This filter would be something like "company is any of logged in user's company". The second is using global data restrictions.(docs.softr.io/user-management/pxnkp9H3qyEVMF6XUceqnj/global-data-restrictions/3kH6DuUvRNVztnGzAJoiL8) Here, you would define that logged in users of a certain group (e.g. "job posters") can only view job posting records where "company is any of logged in user's company". Assuming you want job posters to also be able to see jobs posted by others, it sounds like the first option might be a better fit for your use case.
