The effects of sharing these type of adventures with your kids is long lasting. Something Lucie will remember for a long time and hopefully share with her kids one day. Nicely done sir.

Lucy/Lucie seems to have a desire to be in showbiz. She does a great job in front of and behind the camera. I can see the blooper reels being very helpful for a talent scout to see how pleasant, professional and easy to work with she is. Donald, thank you very much for all the adventures.

Thanks MUCH for a wonderful share! Great that you can have Lucie along, and she seems to enjoy it much, you are very fortunate to have her share with you still, as not all teenagers, let alone older children will and do, enjoy her as much asyou can, as they all grow up too quickly... from a GrandPa :) Cheers and all the best to you and all! ps. got my Subee again, and love it, just urban hauler right now, but really enjoying a 6 speed manual again .... :)

The ready to eat food we would take camping for 4 days were home cooked meals prepared by our wives and put in sealable bags and frozen. We would simply take them out and boil them in water. WE always had great food that way and it was far cheaper than store bought!

Great video! Impressive job driving, Lucie! The Appalachians block any chance of our getting snow around Richmond, VA; I would have to drive about four hours to camp in the snow. Camping with my kids was so much fun and I almost regretted that they grew up and became responsible and successful adults...actually I, too, am a very proud father. The Mountain House meals are not worth the money. Trader Joe's moved in about five minutes from my home and those frozen meals are awesome. We usually pick up a dozen or so every time we shop there. They are so easy and convenient, especially since I do all of the cooking. As a care giver I'm always seeking easier methods to accomplish goals.
@shadowoxj81533 жыл бұрын
I've never understood the dehydrated or freeze dried meals like Mountain House when vehicle supported camping. Canned or bagged food like you did here makes much more sense to me when your not backpacking in and need to save weight. I almost never eat freeze dried food when overlanding. Glad you guys had a good trip and Lucie's first snow camp was a success.
@teresacatroppo22773 жыл бұрын
I always tend to put my windshield wipers up when we get snow or ice so it doesn’t freeze to the windshield! Also keep a can of spray bottle of Prestone de-icer spray which you can pick up at Walmart or other places! That has been a life saver for me when I need to de ice the windshield!
