I’m sure you’ve heard what I’m about to say. I appreciate what your trying to do but some of your conclusions that you are drawing from these people is wrong. The Black neighborhood should not be defined by how pimps and hoes definition. There are white people and white neighborhoods that are very similar under educated ignorant looking for easy money that is not something that black people have a monopoly on and in fact pimps and hoes have existed since the beginning of time. Please chose your words carefully in how you characterize our neighborhoods because trust me just like white neighborhoods pimps and hoes are outliers in the ghetto and no race has a legitimate claim on the ignorance and poor choices that exist in the trying to survive in the human condition.

It's apparent that a lot of the viewers on this video don't understand the purpose of these videos. I've seen quite a few commenters shaming Mark's interviewing style, how he compliments his guests, and even judging him for not dissauding their line of work. The videos are meant to be a platform for the guests to share their stories and feel like they have a voice - since their line of work can be very lonely, to say the least. Also, the videos are intended to be informative to the public. Imagine if Mark judged all of his guests? He wouldn't have very many people willing to share their deepest and most personal experiences... I thought I would put this out there to clear up all the ambiguity.

What is really surprising to me is how she looks better each interview he has had with this young lady. I think the first was in 2020 and she didn’t look bad like most of these other interview subjects, but as time has gone on she hasn’t gotten worse. She looks SO good here comparing it to her first video only 2 years ago.

It makes me uncomfortable how many comments say she is too beautiful to be in a bad situation, it will just feed into her feeling like the oy thing she has going for her is beauty, when that is not true, her beauty on the inside far outshines her outside. I hope she gets her life together and gets I to a career that brings her true purpose.

they just found a beautiful young woman like her on the side of the freeway dead.. right there in LA. tossed like trash. i’m tired of this lifestyle being glamorized and normalized. this is an extremely dangerous, not fun job. it’s sick that there’s underage girls out here. they disappear, get harmed, pass away or never get out. there’s no good ending to this life.. it will stick wit u forever. this “game” being played with men… there’s no winning. underselling yourself, your worth, losing valuable time and constant danger. fun. edit: just want to be clear this statement is not for victims but towards society and mostly the men who are oppressing & harming women for their own $$ and pleasure. most of these women come from foster care & have been SA themselves. they need a supportive community to uplift them not drag them down.

I’m glad she said she doesn’t plan to be doing this past 25. Because she’s in the most dangerous profession there is. Plus, it’s sad that she’s convinced her pimp is investing her money or saving it. She would do much better on a regular job. She could get a CD and grow her own money. Instead, the pimp is putting her hard earned money in his car and on his back. They have no life, as their lives belong to these men. It gives us a glimpse into a world that fully caters to men.

@@Ishtarmohammadi He's probably **fetishizing her**, and the lifestyle, at this point. Also, there's at least 3 other SW's he's filmed where it seemed like he was completely enamored with the interviewee. I get that Sex Work isn't the most formal lifestyle, and that the language, mannerisms, etc. of the culture are very relaxed. However, depending on the interviewee, Mark's professionalism can take a nosedive, and his ability to maintain strict boundaries weakens, as seen by the tone-deafness of some of his questions/comments. The simple fact that Mark is aware most of these women engage in sex work out of a survival instinct or due to experiencing childhood sexual abuse, and then for him to ask this young woman if she enjoys having sex with john's is creepy beyond words. This is why stopped watching his videos whenever KZbin recommended them to me. I can't get past one video without Mark perving on his interviewees!

People need to realize that the kind of untenable situation that would send a girl to the hood, send a girl into the game, those kinds of situations, are everywhere. They are in the gated communities, the mansions, the suburbs, the city, the trailer park, everywhere. And that’s on our culture. We are producing sick men and sick boys who violate compulsively and it’s terrible. The men and boys who abuse the girls in their life have NO idea how it is going to affect them down the line. I was too homeless Anna Street until I decided I wanted a normal life again. I love that you try helping the ones that will accept your especially when you are the only one willing to help them. Like I said I have much empathy for these people that you interview but not sure why this video is relevant? She Clearly is not struggling she loves her lifestyle and doesn't have any regrets. I am not judging her if what she does makes her happy and she's safe then that's great but again I watch your videos to hear people's stories that are struggling and love knowing that you're there to help I just don't get why a prostitute who is bragging about her lifestyle and about how happy she is has anything to do with the people suffering on Skid Row? Of course I will continue to watch your videos and always support you but I think you should stick to the ones that are truly suffering and need help. She is beautiful insideand out and I'm sure could have a "normal" life if she chose to. I don't think condoning a 19 yr old about her "work " and how good she is at it is such a great idea. I was a lost (beautiful) child that everyone took sexual advantage of, so I flipped the script and exactly like her made it my thing, I had that thing and thy ate out of my hand. it became obvious very quickly while growing up as a kid that my pleasing/sex/body was all people loved about me, so I just got really good at controlling others/life by using that.. subconsciously I thought it was my only worth and purpose, so why not master it? I felt like I was in control, 'loved' and free. when in fact I was non of those things. - Ive spent the last 6 years in therapy healing from the things I thought were great and normal back then but gave me serious depression and CPTSD symptoms over time. Being 30 has made me think.. I would never have sex with a 19yearold even at my age; its just too young. Its like finding a sexually abused and confused child attractive, and as I get older I understand the adults I used to be with less and less. -in fact ; how dare they?! Luckily good people are out there too, they will actually help and care for you, and help you build you up and get you out of the game. Hopefully you will find some of those people soon. Good luck and so much love to you. You deserve the best. You are (worth) so much more than lust or money. The creeps dont deserve your time or to touch you

Wonderful insight. Thanks for sharing that. It is painful to watch this intelligent and beautiful young lady who looks so childlike that its hard not to think of pedophilia. Her demeanor and dress is simply croquettes, and her attitude about it all so casual. It is really sad, Too young to drink but not too young to sell her body, strip, etc. I hope she comes to the realizations you have but maybe sooner.

She is a beautiful girl and very intelligent and well spoken. I would love to see her thriving in life and outta the game. I’m sure most of these are clearly choices but one thing that struck me about the conversation is the black & white differences as if this is the only choice for black girls. I grew up in a single parent home from divorce but my mom was protective. We weren’t ever around or exposed to activities like this so I am definitely what’s called a square and I’m near 55 now. I have 2 sisters and we didn’t grown up around this nor did we have parents in drugs or in and out of jail. So this is not the plight of all black people and I grew up in a black neighborhood where most of the kids were just like me. Working parents

Yeah, I was also confused as to why the interviewer was emphasising the black/white part and kept bringing it back to that a few times.
@meladversity2 жыл бұрын
@@ZenzoSezSo the interviewer is just a random dude who likes to talk to sex workers (only females too..) and clearly has no expertise or social critical knowledge in this regard. annoys me how big of a platform he gets when he repeatetly asks very inappropriate questions, just hardens stereotypes over and over again and then gets off people calling him a saint or whatever. truly disgusting.

I agree. I’m black and grew up in the suburbs, surrounded by other black upper middle class families. These hard knock lifestyles are foreign to me.

It is absolutely inappropriate.It's shameful to encourage any aspect of what she is doing including how she looks. He is losing his light in the darkness.

His tone and questions came off a little weird. This interview became more uncomfortable to watch each time he said “ you’re a pro..” & “Ive seen your work” she seemed uncomfortable trying to stray away from that part of the interview.

Agreed, he was encouraging her, perhaps he was hankering for a discount?

I see what everyone is saying, it did seem like Mark liked her. But what really ticked me off was when she said she didn’t mind being sexual abused at two and he says “mm”. This whole interview is exhausting and I actually love his channel.
@EmeraldSky332 жыл бұрын
What was he supposed to say? Asking her to elaborate on her reaction to child sexual abuse would have just been creepier. She didn't want pity either. So he made a neutral sound.
@Djrob5152 жыл бұрын
He’s just the interview. I don’t think he liked her. He’s interviewed so many women. And he would not risk getting involved in their personal lives. Most of them would be dangerous to hang around cause they work or live on skid row. People just like to start drama.

It's a conversation not a psychological evaluation. If they have good chemistry they have good chemistry. She was open and so he was open as well.

We all know she’s gorgeous, she knows it, and she thinks it’ll save her from all the horrors of the world. If it had, she wouldn’t be where she is. Miss, beautiful women in your line of work go missing and turn up dead often. I don’t want to say it will happen to you, but it could. Being beautiful isn’t the equivalent of hiding away underneath the covers from monsters, it won’t stop them from catching you. Beauty can get you into high places, and bring you down to hell in two seconds. I wish you well, and hope for your safety- just as I do for all the women I can empathize with on here or understand why they’ve gotten where they are. Stay safe, stay smart, and stay strong. All love 👋🏾

She can be smart with her beauty. Instead of sucking off some random dangerous homeless guy in LA, she can go to Vegas and aim for the high-rollers, politicians, celebrities. She could easily avoid the dangers by going to the sugar daddy scene, where there are higher-earning men who aren't as dangerous (because they have a lot to lose).

When she described the racism in prostitution, it sounds similar to the dating game. BM don’t really want BW and when one do approach we have to be suspicious because not all are kind or have good intentions. Wishing her the best she seems really kind and bubbly.
