I was addicted to Heroin, coke,crack, pills, molly for over 10 years. I lost so many friends and family due to my addiction. I’ve been sober now for 6yrs and life is so much better. Homeless on Baltimore City streets for years before I finally surrendered to the disease of addiction. I wish I knew where this girl was because I'd go get her. Sit down and break bread with her and talk to her and let her know that there IS another way. She does not have to live this way any longer. That she does not EVER, ever, ever, EVER, EVER have to use again!! She has lost all hope and all faith and I would love to be able to sit down and possibly give her just a glimmer of hope. Tell her my story and let her know she is not unique. She is NOT alone and we have more similarities than differences. I'm going to pray for this girl. She needed put into a medically induced coma for awhile to get past the withdrawal. Honestly for some people that’s the only way for them to get through it. To be out. I feel bad for a little of these people. My smaller town I know there’s one tiny detox place otherwise there’s no place to recover. Just sad , waste of life

If opioids are the main issue, and fear of withdrawal and issues with not having dope in the hospital, what she needs is methadone. I wouldn't advise anyone to get on methadone if there's any way to avoid it, but sometimes there's no other way. Methadone can be a life changer. I'm not advertising or praising the drug, I'm just stating a fact.

Wow she's only 30yrs old & she looks like she's 60, this is so sad can't believe it's only been 5yrs of using drugs & she's literally slowly dying 😢 💔 😔. I hope someone sees this & helps this woman.
@adrianaflores45102 ай бұрын
I was thinking that too but she also said she was 21 when she started using and is now 30. So, I'm confused. I quit using because of that exact reason, so many people around me dying buying from the same dealers I was, and the sores the poison was leaving, I would have died too.
@DaveFerguson-vh5fn2 ай бұрын
She's been on the streets for 5 years but said she started using heroin when she was 21...... 5 years on the streets is an ETERNITY let me tell you, as a recovering addict who's struggled with homelessness I can promise you first hand you'd be amazed at how quickly your mental and physical health deteriorate when you're constantly exposed to the elements, have no shelter, and then add using chemicals and poison on top of that 😞

This is heartbreaking. What a beautiful young woman, who has lost her way. Hope she receives the help she so desperately needs. Sending love to you ❤
@sroberts6052 ай бұрын
It is, but I think I disagree that she lost her way - I think without having parents to give her love, and therefore having to give it to herself, is simply too hard for many people. I think that's why she's so worried about her children - is the cycle repeating, or are the foster parents good enough?

I know people feel “ they’ve done this to themselves” but when someone is this far down the rabbit hole they help, compassion, love and most of all hope for a new and better future. Sweetheart, I wish all that for you. It can be turned around, plenty of people live wonderful lives with only one arm. If you’ve made it through everything I imagine you have, you’re strong… just try and convert that strength into determination to beat this. Don’t give up

The way she’s speaking, is just how I spoke before I put my ass on a plane to rehab and get away from the stuff bringing me down. The life of heroin isn’t fun, if her with a Shaq sized hand doesn’t tell you that, idk what will. I had a few abscesses and that was horrible I couldn’t imagine this. I got probably around 5-6 years since I last used, we do recover. Usually I skip these videos but my heart goes out to this poor woman.

If I lived close to her I’d make those appointments and stand by her through them. The hospital and recovery stay alone is gonna get her clean…maybe with a lots of prayers and support she can stay clean and turn her life around before it’s too late. God be with you. You have touched my heart which is very rare for an addict to do given my history with my now deceased brother. There is something about you that makes me wanna take you in my arms and walk with you in your troubles. I will pray for your sobriety and health.

You brought up an important point, that going to the hospital and having the surgery would mean going without her street drugs. She mentioned being scared of going for other reasons, but I’m sure that having to go off of her drugs and going through withdrawals is a huge fear for her as well. God help her🙏
@j.artiste85962 ай бұрын
She will not go to the hospital. She's more scared of being without drugs than she is of sepsis.
@gracejones28312 ай бұрын
@@juliedurden9479 they would give her suboxone or methadone. That would stop her from going into withdrawals. She knows it because she mentioned it briefly.

I've often wondered if the doctors could put you in a coma for a couple of weeks or months until the dreaded hangout is physically over, would it give you a better chance of staying off it?
