Good for you, Kurt, and thank you for being brave enough to turn in your own father. I’m sure it wasn’t easy, but I guarantee you saved a lot of kids who would now be totally messed up. It was a generational thing in my family too! Everyone covered for eachother. My mom married into this family. I was 9 months old. Non stop molestation for all us kids. My stepfathers , father went prison. My grandma had 13 kids. She put them all in a catholic orphanage with priests. The newborn got adopted. So sad ! It was the boys and girls. We have all dicussed when we were adults. All of us had a lot of issues. I moved away when I got older. It took a while for me to stop drinking. I was 24. Found God and changed my life. ❤

Amazing interview! So many families keep these secrets to like he said “avoid embarrassment and protect the family’s name”. That’s why and how so many predators are able to continually victimize kids. That mindset is so completely disgusting and toxic. How is a reputation ever more important than an innocent life? I have so much respect for him going against his family and doing the right thing. He’s a hero and anyone who protects a predator is a coward and should face consequences as well.

There are interviews on here from time to time that transcend the channel. This was one of them. For Kurt to talk with such perspective and courage about the horror of pedophilia, let alone his shattered relationships with his own relatives, was illuminating and astonishing. We need to hear these stories, as ghastly as they may be, so we can understand the problem, and, perhaps, help find ways to eliminate it. Best wishes, sir. You may have saved some souls.

The level at which you keep your interviews raw and unedited are showing the realities of life that people have to go through. Even though much of what you report on is the darker sides of reality it is reality. The fact that so much of mainstream "news" streams and " "entertainment " gear their content towards consumer content and egoistic viewpoints your videos are actually a breath of " fresh " air towards what our culture has the potential to breed. The fact that you give these people a voice is literally priceless! Thank you!

I know it’s hard to come up with titles but there should be something more than just Kurt somehow. I almost didn’t click because let’s face it, even as a supportive audience we judge and pick and choose which ones to watch since we don’t have the time to watch each and every video. I’m glad I did though and happy to know that some sort of justice was brought for crimes committed. It shows that even in a seemingly hopeless family that one can break away and do the right thing knowing it will destroy themselves in the process. Kurt was a whistleblower and I’m glad the authorities listened and actually took action.

@@mcc1483 I am most certanly sure that she experienced violence and cruel neglet as a child(her mother being an addict) prior to meeting him. And, he, in the grooming process, probably was the nicest father figure saying all the right things, buying her anything she wanted and offering her the attention she craved for. And this is why some people who were victims never see themselves as victims and tend to become themselves future abusers. It's when you see nothing unusal about it and actually enjoying it that makes this psicopathy transfer to future generations of pedofiles.

Kurt your testimony is quite extraordinary. Such an authentic, hard hitting story that needs to be told. Sadly we do not choose our parents. The man you are points to a genuine goodness inside of you. You are also proof that trauma doesn’t necessarily have to define us negatively and anyone can speak there truth. Who knows what you’re own fathers demons were? I guess that’s for him and his conscience. However you speak with an honesty that’s rarely seen nowadays. Though these stories are hard to listen too, they still need to be shared. It gives me hope that you have stayed sane and that without question you have helped to save many children along the way. These kind of predators get away with such atrocities because no one speaks out against them to support the victims. Silence is the biggest danger to any form of child abuse. I wish you all the best in the world and that your spirit stays strong. Lots of love.🙏❤️.x

As a person who was sexually abused as a young teenager I'll say this, it definitely causes disruption in sexuality. It took me a long time to straighten out. Most people condemn sex offenders without knowing their back story, I wish everyone could get help before they hurt someone else.

Hello yes there is often a back story / history as was the case with my father. I do empathize with my fathers childhood...However there is no room for delay in stopping a child abuser and their mitigating factors can be examined after. I really have come to believe for Most sex offenders there is no hope for Rehabilitation it simply is who they are... Kurt

This is the most disturbing SFU interview I've seen so far. What gets me is how everyone in the family just brushed it off, as if it's the norm, even if they were not victims. One of Kurt's brothers grew up to become a lawyer and he still sees no issue. I wonder if everyone in that family wasn't capable of handling trauma, or if they have a Kids' feelings don't matter mentality.

I really have no answers as to why my family sat silent. This situation did cost me contact with most of my family and I do not regret my decision to give up those people who would not stand up for others especially kids. My older brother is a lawyer with three daughter. He's also a violent raging alcoholic. The situation destroyed him as a human being in my opinion.

Mark - I think this is the best of the best interviews I've seen of yours. This man could have gone many different ways after growing up in this family- most of them bad. The fact that he still could navigate his way to a different mental state, find his own decent moral fibre- and follow thru with it - he saved lots of children . I have no doubt about that-he's well spoken, intelligent , and stated what happened in a matter of fact truthful way - without using pornographic words and images- he gets the meaning across very succinctly- and he sure followed the righteous path. May God bless him in every way for the rest of his days- wherever he goes - and whatever he wants to do. He has surely earned his peace in this life and heaven ( if there is one) in the next. God bless and keep you Kurt.

The thought of a mother offering her daughter for drugs disturbs me to my core. That is the ultimate betrayal. Good for you, Kurt, for turning your dad in. You seem to have a very healthy and reasonable grasp on the whole situation. How very thoughtful of you to share your story. You're right. People aren't born this way. Everyone who commits such acts was a victim in their past. It's often a viscous cycle. 💔

Thank you so much for your story and courage to do the right thing. Keep talking. It will save someone! We need more people to stop turning their backs on the children that need them. Imagine the amount of healing that would take place in this world if every person that knew that a child was being harmed would just speak up. Reveal it, so they can then heal it! I wished I would have had someone like you decades ago to stand up for me when I couldn't stand for myself. I'm 57 years old and still working through past childhood trauma. Healing is a rollercoaster. But, I'm in it to win it. Vibes on high and God bless you!

"The truth is the truth". ~Kurt Kurt, thank you for sharing your story! Generational behaviors and/or patterns repeat themselves. I'm glad he never thought twice about turning his father in and becoming a strong advocate for children, you have my utmost respect for your commitmet. It takes a caring person to forgive a predator, hopefully, now you have peace of mind, the chaos which you endured as a child was horrid, this literally broke your heart by undergoing heart surgery, emotions attach themselves to vital organs then become health issues. So unfortunate that his uncle became conditioned and found no malace by his pedophile brothers behavior. Kurt you're a wonderful human being, this world needs more honest people like yourself!
