Ray reminds me so much of my son who is autistic and non verbal. What stood out to me the most was the kindness of the employee. Instead of awkward stares and ignoring him (like some do my son) she was kind and engaged back with him. Also the fact that this family didn’t go overboard on their shopping spree. Just another reminder that people with disabilities can really open up when exposed to new experiences and kindness. Something as simple as going to Walmart has changed them from the people we first "met" on the porch. you would think adults would be mature enough, right? I am telling you as a totally blind parent, who uses a white cane, while traveling with her children. This is not always the case. I can’t tell you the number of times my children have burst into tears because people are staring. I make sure when I leave the house there’s never a hair out of place. Everything has to be immaculate because I know people are looking. People expect me to look like a clown and that’s ridiculous. Yeah they stare anyway. Not caring how it hurts the child with me. And I always say you know what I’m glad you find this interesting. I hope you live long enough for your eyes to start failing to understand what it’s like. And oh, by the way, I was 16 when I went blind so you may want to start crossing your fingers and praying.

Ray's knee is really swollen, he's definitely got arthritis in it. I'm also wondering about his belly since he swallows his chewing tobacco. He's never been a big guy but he's lost weight since the first videos. I think Lorraine wanted one of those pink bras but was too shy to pick one. Ray really needs to see a doctor. The behaviors/communication he's exhibiting shows how severe the pain in his knee is. He aimed to please during the visit, but his mannerisms and vocal abilities show us how much he is in pain. He's such a wonderful soul. I do hope he can get that assessed sooner than later. Kenneth «accidently» was at Walmart at the same time as the rest of the gang. In this video he states that he never visits them, but in videos to come we can see that he moves in with them. There is no doubt in my mind that this fella suddenly wanted to be part of the family again once he got to know that Mark came with money. So when he meets up with them here at Walmart he most likely knew they was there and I am pretty sure he hoped that Mark would pay for his phone. So when Mark said goodbye to him I think that was not part of his plan. In the videos where he shows Mark the new house he makes sure that he mentions that he had paid it all himself and that he had ran out of money. He remarks that several times and at one point he even says «you didn’t get ME money»! I think this sort of behaviour is just cruel and greedy. He has earlier kept distance to his family but is now suddenly a big part of it and stay close to Mark at all times when Mark is visiting. To bad since he seems like a nice guy. I just hope that his intentions is to be part of the family for the right reasons and that he won’t run away when the money stops coming in. The next updates will be very interesting to watch.

I wish this guy would go into the section of Appalachia in new jersey called the ramapo mountains. There lives the only legal nj native tribe. They arent exactly natives though. They are called the jackson whites. They stretch all the way in ny state. Tread with severe caution. These people are not friendly. They are imbred from years of isolation. I’ve noticed that Mark has such a rapport with this family, especially Timmy and Ray. When he wants to help them or correct them, such as when Ray wanted to put his belt on before paying for it, his voice is so calming and gentle. And Ray immediately responded with the right action. He put the belt on the counter. He shows them respect and acknowledges them, and they respond to him positively. These are not dumb people. Underdeveloped, uneducated and with disabilities in some family members, but they have common sense, respect and kindness in their hearts. And they love their dogs.

The videos of this beautiful family are so deeply heartwarming. I grew up in the NY area, so WV was a huge change for me.
