We need midfielders who have the abilities to maintain possesion of the ball, or the”brain” of midfield. Mctominay, Amrabat or Casemiro are good at tackle and defending, while Mount or Bruno are best at their creativity. We need someone to be the brain, to cordinate the speed of the game. And right now United doesn’t have players like that.
