I received one yesterday. A super cool knife! And I have some $600 folders that might get removed from rotation. It's perfectly balanced due to the CF frame and fits the hand superbly. I lubed it up and tightened all the screws, and worked it a bit, so now it's smooth. My only complaint is the lock mechanism sticks a bit due to carbon/plastic on plastic. My detent lash is there but is super small and you can't hear it.

I have the SOG pent arc very smooth and clean looking, definitely out of the catalog I just hope they bring some of their fixed blade options back

I have the pentagon xr and I’m enjoying it very much. I’m sure I would love XLE but I only paid $54 for the reg one so absolutely no complaints.

Carbon fiber is a tough material . I would have questioned it for use as a liner but they for sure tested it’s rigidity and ability to hold pins and pivots . This happened after using an Orion Solaris w cF scales and no liners at all is still locking up tight after hacking away and doing things I shouldn’t to wood with a pocket knife . It’s $90 @ midway atm and am thinking about this despite it came out a while back I really don’t care of it will be good for a few years

They have done a good job with the XR series. I have the Terminus xr and the Seal xr gifted another model to a friend.

the pentagon is totally awesome its one of my number 1 carry but ive put bigger thumb studs on mine an Ti deep carry clip

Nice review, however I will stick with my OG pentagon PE with its arc lock. I have the reg and larger size both classics

Has their customer service improved? I’m almost tempted to buy some of their newer stuff. I’d love to see the older knife’s blade on the new knife’s handle with the XR lock
