Sogyal Rinpoche ~ Letting go

Letting go is sometimes not so easy.
In this video from Paris on 29 June 1998, Sogyal Rinpoche talks about letting go as a process that all of us need to go through. However, it is important to realise that our own mind can help or harm this process.
For example, by understanding impermanence ⎯when we realise that everything is by nature impermanent and dreamlike⎯there is no other option but to let go. By reflecting on impermanence, and recognizing the truth of this, we can realize a new birth. It is like we let got of the clouds, but gain the sky.

Suffering really can be a great blessing when transformed into compassion. I know from my own experience that after having suffered tremendously in this life, sometimes unbearable pain, it helps you to relate to other people's suffering and strengthens your wish to help others and it the process makes you a much happier person. Anyone who is suffering now should practice the path of compassion and you will bring benefit to yourself and others

Clear, helpful and dynamic teaching: compassionate and very wise advises from Rinpoche's experience and deep insight how to deal with suffering, unwanted circumstances, loss and pain. The importance of care and support and the alternative of standing on your own feet, with help of the teacher and the teachings. Never give up... you can loose the clouds, but gain the sky, so says Sogyal Rinpoche. Trust and do it:)
