Fun fact about the stained glass window in the entrance. Each little tile is engraved with the names of all the people working in the parks (at the time). So my name is in there too! They also gave all of us the tile we are on as a little keepsake if i remember that correctly. I worked there for 6 years but (with pain in my heart) left because I moved away. It was such a blessing to grow up so close to this place and to work there once I got older. I really had a magical childhood.

Hellloooooo, it is great you remembered the portrait of Ton van de Ven ! Yes , it is true that Villa Volta was de first madhouse in the world, it was a new ride system and Ton designed the story and building around it and later others copied it. Fun fact....., It is happening again with Dans Macabre....., it is a brand new ride system and The Efteling is the first park to use it and have designed a theme around it . fun fact about the stained glass by the entrance, a good chunk of the tiles actually have the names of staff members and their family members on there! i suppose its symbolic for all the staff members taking part to make the efteling what it is :) my name is in there somewhere, but i couldnt tell you where haha

Loved your vlog again! Helena was right about the Wolf. She did get her kids out and filled his belly with stones. Efteling in the dark is magical. When we where there years ago, the parc was open until midnight. So Aquanura was at 00.15 hr. We Loved it!!! Fairytailforrest, hope you get back to the donkey?! It is true, Villa Volta was the 1st ever darkride, in fact it was the prototype for all the others to follow. Was in the Efteling today (monday 29th of januari), beautiful weather, 12 degrees celsius and lots of sunshine, just did 2 rides, Vogelrok and Symbolica (red) but enjoyed watching the people and children and strolling thru the park.

Villa volta is the first of its kind but the technique used has been know a long time. And aquanura has the second biggest in Europe and third biggest fountain in the world.

We saw the talking tree on our way through but as it was closing we didn't manage to catch on the camera. Wow, the sprookjesbos looked amazing in the snow. Sooo lovely and extra magical. You both are such kind souls, so it's only fair you guys got the most beautiful scenery you could wish for in the winter. I can't wait to go on Tuesday.
