Fantastic informed reaction from a music professional who is best placed to appreciate the incredible talents of this amazing woman. You referred to her ‘mixed’ voice & she is widely regarded as the owner of the best mixed voice, particularly the power she can create with her mix high on her register. She learned this when she met a famous American vocal coach while visiting the US, named Seth Riggs. You will often see her referred to as the ‘queen of mix’. She is also known by many , where Dimash is ‘king’ when it comes to vocals, to be his ‘queen’. Whilst the idea of these two duetting together blows my mind, I honestly don’t think the world is ready for a Dimash/Sohyang collaboration just yet. Please please please react to more Sohyang. In some respects it’s irrelevant which song you react to next because she only has one level of performance, 100% amazing!!, but I think you would really enjoy her performance of ‘Arirang Alone’, again from the ‘immortal songs’ series. This is a traditional Korean folk song that has been turned in to a more anthemic number by Sohyang’s amazing talent for musical arrangements ( Sohyang is responsible for the arrangement of all her performances). This song will show another style of music to that you have just seen, infact, the more Sohyang performances you see, the more different styles of music you will see because this beautiful lady can literally sing any genre, rock,pop,blues/jazz, the big power ballads & she can even rap & there are video’s on KZbin to prove this but her heart, as you noted, is in gospel music & her arrangements of songs she performs often include elements of gospel in them although the song is not usually associated with the gospel genre in its original form. I have been a Sohyang admirer for approx 5 years now & seen hundreds of performances but so far i have not seen her sing either country music or opera (maybe with a few operatic elements yes!!) but I have absolutely no doubt that she would succeed at both if she decided to try them as she has impeccable technique,perfect pitch, which allows her tackle any genre she wishes. She is also a published author of fiction & by day she is a university lecturer ( in music of course!!). Please check out her back story which should explain why she is not the worldwide superstar her talents surely merit, why she doesn’t seek fame or fortune (she is constantly turning away the many record companies that try to sign her) & because of her poor health issues we nearly missed out completely of ever hearing her beautiful voice. I hope you take a similar journey with Sohyang to the journey you took with Dimash & although I would love to see many reactions from yourself to her performances, I realise that time is precious, so if it is the case that you can’t make many more reaction video’s, the best advice I can give you is just check out more from Sohyang just for your own personal pleasure, your ears will be missing out on so much pleasure if you don’t 😂😂 Thankyou Montse

A true artist is someone who gets to your very soul and SOHYANG certainly does that, her whole persona is just off the scale, can you believe that she never set out to be a singer because when she was 20 she was diagnosed with cancer, her recovery was helped by listening to music, she never wanted the money or the fame, she just wanted to sing as a way of comforting people and boy does she do that, she is a brilliant artist in every sense of the word, she not only sings, she is solely in charge of all the arrangements for all her performances, this is a rabbit hole that goes all the way to the abyss, forget Dimash, to me he is Coco the clown, that's not music, he is just an annoying noise 🇬🇧👌🔥❤️.

It was working fine except that the pronouns were all "he" instead of "she"; and I think this is because in Spanish the third person singular forms are not gender specific and if one omits explicitly saying the pronoun "she" as often done in Spanish, it would often be translated as "he" rather than "she". The same problems would be present in, for example, Korean or Japanese, which also often mention the pronoun explicitly. Often with this app, the subtitle appears long before the corresponding dialogue for that segment starts, although the endings of the subtitles and the spoken dialogue are usually in alignment, so this is somewhat annoying.

Muchas gracias por reaccionar a mi comentario sobre Tia Ray, a Sohyang, también la conozco y me parece de un nivel extraordinario, debido a la irrupción de Dimash en muchos canales de KZbin, me decidí a buscar cantantes chinos que tuviesen un nivel muy alto y por descontado que hay muchos que superaron mis expectativas, Tia Ray es una de ellas, durante el concurso tubo un par de colaboraciones con Dimash y otra en la que eran un trio pero no recuerdo al otro cantante, creo que no te defraudara, para mi consigue trasmitir mucho y domina tanto el cantar muy suave con mucho aire como registro muy altos con voz mixta, gracias y perdón por extenderme tanto, un abrazo.
