You are now well into Sohyang's King of Masked Singer (KOMS) era. Hug Me is reportedly her favorite performance during her run on the show. Other than her legendary belts, she was also noted for the notes she sang in the lower register. Supposedly she was so emotional during the performance and cried behind the mask. Sohyang is among the very few whose voice transcend the language barrier. As helpful as knowing the lyrics to appreciating the song in its entirety, I don't need to understand the words to feel the emotion emanating from the richness of Sohyang's voice, be it sadness, hopefulness, sympathy, optimism. This is a beautiful performance. As you are reacting to her songs on the KOMS show, let me put in a plug for my personal favorite of Sohyang's performance on KOMS - Breathe. basically, the judges and the audience vote between 2 people who gets to move on to the next round (there are several) to challenge the "king/queen of masked singer". once they become the koms they have to defend their title every other week from new challengers. sohyang is the longest running queen with 6 wins. only one of the judges said he knew who it was (he never told anyone) because he could tell by her voice and they are close friends. she was pretty well known before this show but her popularity sky rocketed after it. when they did the face reveal, a lot of people didn't seem to know who she was. i hope to see yall do more so hyang. here is a link to one of my fave performances by her, breathe. vimeo.com/220191647 ... this song is very special to me. it was written by jonghyun, from the group shinee, for lee hi. sadly, we lost jonghyun this past december. i would also love to see you react to some shinee. i think yall would love the mv for "married to the music".

Idk if someone already explained the masks, but basically all the contestants wear them because they're all famous people-usually singers; it ensures fair vocal judgement. They even have to wear them during rehearsals so other contestants don't know who they are either!

"Hug me" is a pretty special song to her. She gives her all in this, and it really shows. Have in mind that watching those performances with subtitles make both yours and your subscribers experience that much better, since it helps you understand how and why she sings like that. I like how you concentrate on the singer a lot. I saw some comments saying you were missing out by talking but even while talking your eyes were glued to the screen so i don't think you missed anything. Thanks for the reaction! Sohyang is amazing, I saw some vocal coaches react to her and they talk about how she probably takes care of her instrument very well and how there's no trace of the damage caused by little things like colds or coughs that we commonly get.

영어가 안되어서 아쉽네요. 소향 노래가 좋으셔서 계속 리액션을 하시는 거 같아 여러 사람과 공유할 수 있는 더 좋은 방향이 있지 않을까 해서 글을 남겨 보는데 영어가 아니라서 안타깝네요 그래도 한글이라도 이렇게 글을 남겨 봅니다. 솔직한 마음은 외국어라 가사를 모른다고 해도 음악이 기쁜 노래인지 슬픈 노래인지를 들으면 알 수 있는데 슬픈 노래임에도 불구하고 즐거워 하는 모습과 흐름을 깨는 대화등을 하는게 좀 아닌거 같아서요 보통은 사람들이 높은 음이 올라가거나 하면 막 열광 하고 박수치고 좋은 소리의 스킬들에만 집중을 해서인지 노래가 전달 하고자 하는 내용을 이해하고 노래 부르는 사람이 그 감정을 잘 전달 하는지를 느껴야 하는데 노래는 음정 박자가 전부가 아닌 같은 노래를 불러도 사람마다 곡을 이해하는 게 다르고 그거에 따라 같은 곡도 부르는 사람에 따라 다 다르게 되는데요 노래가 나오고 있는데 말을 하거나 집중 할 수 없는 행동들을 하는건 마찬가지로 영화를 보는 경우 슬픈 영화장면에서 언어를 몰라도 알 수 있는데 그런 상황에서 웃거나 즐거워 하는 모습을 보인다면...실제 즐거워 하는 모습등은... 그부분이 좋았다고 해도 만약 그 장면에서 흐름을 깨는 재생을 멈추거나 혹은 저 배우 우는 연기도 잘하네 배경이 이쁘네 등등 말을 이어간다면 잘못된 게 아닐까 합니다. 코믹물에 웃기는 장면등이 나오면 너무 재미있어서 그런 액션을 취할 수 있고 그런 액션등을 봐도 즐거울 수 있어 그런 상황의 장면이나 영화의 흐름이면 모르겠지만 영화 장면들을 보면서 해주는 리뷰 혹은 음악을 리뷰 하는 거면 모르겠는데 사람마다 생각이 다르겠지만 제가 생각 하는 음악 리액션이란 노래를 들으면서 말하고 액션을 취하는 게 아니라 그 음악을 들으면서 느끼는 감정과 모습등을 같이 공유하면서 보려고 하는 게 아닐까 생각 합니다. 음악이 끝나고 나서 음악에 대한 느낀점이나 말하고 싶었던 걸 해도 늦지가 않습니다. 아래 리액션 하는 분들이 정답은 아니지만 음악에 맞게 공유 하는 모습이 보기 좋아서요 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYvdmmpmj8x1hNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmXIfHyQYsmApas
