But the lack of training and appreciation from Filipino producers just make things worse for Philippine music. Blacks can go toe to toe against Filipinos. Nowadays, other SEA countries and EA countries make better music than PH. Luigi L Sohyang may not be suitable for duet actually. If she has to harmonize, she will have to compress her voice while keeping her throat open in order to get great resonance. In this performance, Charice sounds better even though we know how phenomenal Sohyang is as a vocalist. I think the reason why Charcie sounded better is because her voice is more similar to Whitney Houston, and so it sounded thicker and rounder and more like the original version that everyone is used to listening. Charice's voice shines best in her mid belt registers, similar to Whitney, while Sohayng is known for her upper chest register. Some people might think Sohyang's voice is more similar to Mariah's, which to some degree is, but Mariah's voice is very rare to even be duplicated.

Obviously charice is much better than sooyang. But sooyang is good,. Sooyang's diction are not clear. And her intonations are sometimes sounds pitche, little bit flat or sharp. While charice sounds perfect pitch. Charice lower range are wider and thick. But sooyangs higher range are spectacular but thin sounds while charice sounds pleasant and thicker. And the most important is charice sings with emotions like shes telling a story.that she is ON the music.. Thats why you cant compare charice because she is on the other upper class level

By the way, this video was filmed around 2011, and it must be taken into account that Sohyang did not sing popular music such as pop songs or Kpop songs, and that it was a time when she only sang with CCM. I saw some comments making it seem as if So Hyang and Charice were competing with each other. I'm not sure why you would think that way. They weren't free-singing. They had to rehearse before the show. I don't see any competition here. For those favoring Charice, please remember that she was supposed to be the focus in the show; not Sohyang who was an invited guest singer to accompany Charice only.

I'm a fan of Charice Pempengco , but as i've watched every video of So Hyang . I can say that she's definitely amazing and i cant help my self watching her videos again and again everyday. She gave me chills and goosebumps so as Charice. I cant choose which is better among the two ladies. They're both amazing in their own ways. Now, Im also a fan of So Hyang . For me she's the best in Korea. I love her. I love them both. :) :) :) Lets stop comparing and just support them.
