I used to work with silk florals back in the 90's and there was a preserved reindeer moss product that was so soft it was a dream to work with. Seeing today's video I can almost smell the product. Exciting! And your design...it flows, it has interest, it's dimension, and you nailed it, mija!!!!

I had never seen a moss wall piece before. Your creation is beautiful. Seems to me the price of your materials was quite reasonable for the large piece of art you created. Home depot has hundreds of color samples (paint) you could explore if you don't learn to like what you have. Great job again!
@margiechism2 жыл бұрын
Moss print the wall paint ■ I would work that green paint with another color, perhaps the brown from the frame; if it works, I suggest getting some moss and use it like a sponge, then the wall will not have a solid accent but a textured. Do not forget to sign the moss work, perhaps the frame would be a good place. Great work!

This piece is beautiful, Roxanna. You are so creative. And what a lovely addition to the blank wall space. I agree that the paint could be adjusted to better reflect the moss painting…perhaps a little darker and richer green.

SO glad I found this video! I'm wanting to re-do our bedroom and I want it to feel like a cool grotto with ferns and moss growing on the walls. (Just a bit fanciful I'd say.!) Yours looks very doable. Do you know if anyone has tries it with living moss? I know that is a poor idea for me, our humidity is usually below 20%. Love the way you teach, and I'm headed for the after one year video.
@SoilandMargaritas Жыл бұрын
I have seen something done with real moss but as a centerpiece, but I would be worry about pests living there like fungus gnats or flies. Also, leave it up to me and the moss would completely died 😩

I am finally watching this after admiring your artwork for a while. It reminds me of an arial view of a forest. I love it❣️ The materials price is not outrageous. I've been looking for still life prints that I'd still have to frame and this is far less. Since mine will be in my dining room, I might try adding dried mushrooms to the moss sculpture. Maybe not. 🤔
@SoilandMargaritas Жыл бұрын
It is definitely doable for the price, I checked some finished pieces on etsy around this size and the prices are quite high, people get tree branches, fern leaves, rock or other interesting textures to add to it.
@Edu_Kate Жыл бұрын
@@SoilandMargaritas Yes. I've been looking for ideas on Pinterest since you mentioned you saw many videos on making this. I have reserved branches I'd planned to use in a similar wall hanging. Since the moss is so pretty (green IS my favorite color, too) I can incorporate the two. I have so many creative ideas swirling in my head. I've been working on plans to overhaul my front yard, but it's buried under lots of snow. (Just found a tree I'm obsessing over. Krauter Vesuvius cherry plum tree.) Come on, Spring!

Saw moss in title and the large frame of moss and had to watch. Love moss, love green, love nature. Love that this wall art lets you create and play around. It's so beautiful. I was thinking of adding the moss to a succulent wall art, but dried moss will get wet when I water the succulents. Will that be ok? I know they sell live moss. Should I use that instead?

Oh I think this turned out so beautiful, and not that expensive for a large individual piece of artwork. I have never seen these before and you did a fabulous job. One question I have is will the colours fade over time, or are they preserved to stay the same? It’s beautiful 🤩

I think it will be a while before they look dried, the moss is already preserved so it will not fade easily.
