Agreed completely. The song is okay, but it lacks identity. Would love to see them push the envelope a little bit more, just like they have done so great in the past. I feel like we have seen a few songs lately that you almost forget as soon as the next song starts, not because it's a bad song, but because it doesn't stick out.

Why does everyone think that they should sound like they did 15-20 years ago? Styles change over time. These changes are well noted in the composition of their songs. Bjorn aside, the band has turned over every member since the Panic Broadcast. Finally, Wichers was the main composer of the riffs. STD was masterful. Wichers-lead album. Wichers quits, then they release STAGD. That album is unlistenable in my opinion. Then Wichers returns for TPB - yet another masterpiece. From there, it's Sylvan and David taking over. Results are well-received, but nothing compared to Wichers.
