I just purchased 3 batteries. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. The display isn't very important, but it is very nice to see what info you get from the bms.

Hey there if you don’t mind me asking what inverter are you using with these and how are the batteries working?

@@ThundarrZ lv6548, batteries have been fine. Powers been out for 12hrs, so I'm glad I have them.

Great timing with these videos! I just got my batteries last week but I'm still waiting on the inverter to arrive. It's nice being able to know what to expect and how each part functions before I start setting everything up

Hi Chaz if you don’t mind me asking what inverter did you end up getting to go with these and how is everything working together?
@ChazLakinger Жыл бұрын
@@ThundarrZ I got a LV6548. At first they did not play well together. It was impossible to establish communication, but an inverter firmware update fixed the issue. As of right now they work really well together and closed loop communication has been working flawlessly for months now. I didn’t have the best luck dealing with MPP solar but if you buy one from current connected I think you’d have a better time with their support

@Current Connected: At 1:22, under what conditions does the "Cycle Count" trigger or coount one more cycle? I have plenty of batteries and there is plenty of sun where I live, and I want to keep above 60% Depth of Discharge (DoD), to optimize the lifetime of the batteries. It would seem to me that I might not actually reach the discharge depth of 60% as the sun would keep charging 320+ days per year...

Is there a way to monitor the battery. I have the LVX6048WP. It does not accurately report the voltage. Is there a way to read the BMS remotely?

I have 2 of similar battery's with the exact same readout which is a Pace Bms I purchased brand new from a guy but they might of sit for 1 year and when I got them the FCC was reading correctly but start falling off every time I charged and discharged so I did a to balance on all the battery's and now it has stabilized but never moved up the FCC and most of these Pack's don't allow to changes should I worry about that FCC number or anyway to reset it? Thanks

Hey, what about using you to Level 2 charge teslas? I don't think your 15K inverter is powerful enough, but I want it to be. Is it? Can I use your inverter to Level 2 charge a Tesla? I need it to connect to the Tesla Wall Charger. IF you can explain that to me, I'd be grateful.

Thank you for this series of videos. They are most need now...I just received my batteries. Question: How high (% of charge) should (or will) the battery be charged the first time using the auxiliary battery charger?

Target 100% so that the BMS can get the balancing back in line incase there was any deviation from sitting on a ship/transportation.

Is it supposed to show OVP on the status when the battery is fully charged and the BMS shuts down incoming current?
@danhead10822 жыл бұрын
I have been encountering the same problem with two of my four units. Not using BMS comms to charge controller, (mine doesn't have that capability) rather using the Voltage settings from the manual (57.6V (bulk) and 55.2 (float). Every time the battery pack approaches the bulk charge voltage the BMS OVP trips. Then it will not clear the fault even though all cell voltages are well within parameter limits. I'm assuming one of the cells in the pack is exceeding the OVP voltage as it's not the overall pack voltage as it never reaches the bulk charge voltage. Although when I monitor the cell voltages they all appear to be normal too. Has me a little stumped at the moment, though I'm sure there is a simple explanation. Curious if this is similar to the problem you are encountering?

@@danhead1082 I got the communications working between the LV6548 and the SOK48v100. The OVP seems to not trip when there is proper communications between the devices, also allowing cell balancing to occur. FYI for those who have not bought an inverter yet, do not buy the MPP LV6548 until they get the firmware updating issues corrected, what a nightmare.

@@jokerbobcatfish7981 That's great news. It does appear from my investigations thus far, that the BMS settings are optimised for RS485 comms to SCC. Hence, if like me your SCC doesn't have RS485 capability the parameters for when to balance (cell voltage lower and all the time not just when charging) need to be changed. This is not something that is mentioned in the manual and probably need to be. Also the settings in the BMS are locked and need the supplier to enable. Still working through the issue so don't have a definitive answer yet.
