How do you wake up a Lifepo4 48 volt 200 ah ATV/golf cart BMS when it quits out in the field and you have no charger to reset it? It has a separate 12 volt AGM battery to power the winch and LED lights. The 48 volt battery charge connector has an Anderson plug. Can I make a jumper that connects the 12 volt to the 48 volt battery through their charge ports that will reset the BMS on the 48 volt battery? What about backflow current from the 48 volt into the 12 volt if it resets? Also, will a 12 volt 3000 amp portable battery charger reset the BMS without damaging either?

20 kw/h is not really what i call massive, we have 80 kw/h on our hotel with batteries system for day and overnight. Some people with big firms and factories put well over 3 Mega watts/h but for residential use it might be enouth that shed is small.

it's just surface charge. Fooling the charger. Trick is not to drain the battery in the first place.

Wish they made a feature to have two screens.. In the RV coach area to monitor and a second in the electrical bay for troubleshooting. Yes you can monitor with your phone but it isn't as convenient. The largest advantage Cerbo over the EKRANO has is the amount of cables that need to be routed on a remote display.

I do manufacture and sell precharge units. I do not mean this as an advert but as I do this I would not recommend any method other than a precharge unit specifically meant for doing it only because whether you are using a power or a resistor you need protection for that and it’s recommended to use a switch that can go with the voltage issues only because, it’s a lot safer, especially if done repeatedly

So, could you use a 9 volt alkaline battery the rectangular Duracell you find in smoke detector to kick smaller batteries in the guts?

Hello and congratulations for the video I come to you for the multiplus can we use the ACin input not permanently on the network but just connect it to a 230V 20A socket (France) to just supply the ACin input to charge a park battery at night rate and use the ACout during the day to restore the energy to my electrical panel? because connecting the ACin to the network bothers me a little because it requires a lot of steps because if there is a risk of injection into the network it is necessary to go through a Consuel I would especially like to be in self-consumption and from time to time be able to close the multiplus with a source inverter in my prolonged absence and switch to the direct network laurent

Do you have the manufacturer or model numbers to any of these 48v inverters "of similar size that draw 2-3 amps" ?? If ANY 2kw (or similar size) inverter pulls that sort of current at 54.63v (48v) then there is definitely a malfunction with said inverter. Maybe you could actually compare the idle power consumption instead of comparing just the current draw of a 48v vs 12v inverter if that is what you actually meant. Two different scenarios here. Thanks for the looksy inside the Victron inverter.
@CurrentConnected28 күн бұрын
We aren't looking to name-drop and talk down on any manufacturer, but I invite you to look up some competitors offering 2kW low frequency inverters. Many of the cheap ones coming from overseas waste power like no one's business!

Didn’t even talk about bluetooth connection!! I can’t get this far!! Always spins at 80% then times out. even after putting in the correct Bluetooth PIN tried keying in 000000. Still no connection. Went through all the suggestions and trouble shooting but to no avail. Reloaded the app, rebooted Cerbo, restarted phone. Still will not connect to BT. 😢. Maybe I need a new Cerbo ? Any suggestions out there????
@CurrentConnectedАй бұрын
The pin is 000000 (six zeros, not seven). Technically you don't even need bluetooth though, the WiFi is the primary method of connection here.

So I have to pay Victron even more money to actually configure and use the inverter that I already paid over $1k for?
@CurrentConnectedАй бұрын
At CurrentConnected, we pre-program the inverters prior to shipping, to save you the cost of the $50 programming tool. You can also change them through the Cerbo if you added one, which allows for remote monitoring and control.

My new 206 Ah battery reads 10.6 V. SOK says I need to wake it before my 40A MPPT will recognize it. How depleted is 10.6V? Once it's charge to 11V might the controller power on? Can I then connect solar, or must I use the charger until battery terminals read 14V? Help! Great vids!

A 48 Volt output is not high enough to fully charge a 48 volt LFP battery. Even 57 volts is not high enough. The output should be at least 58.4 volts, or 3.65 volts per cell.
@CurrentConnectedАй бұрын
This is a bulk charger - to replenish up to 90-95% of your battery from generator. Ideally, you would have solar / other charging methods to finish topping off your battery, instead of burning fuel.
@quickquote1568Ай бұрын
@@CurrentConnected Then you should be advertising this unit as being only a bulk stage charger,. You would not be burning much fuel or generator run time topping off the final Volt and a half with a properly designed charger that offered a full charge.
