Fun fact: There is no way to extract the scent from a gardenia, so all gardenia notes in perfume are synthetic.I have a Gardenia bush in my yard, and it's sweet and spicy, not light and airy.

I absolutely love Estée Lauder private collection… I tried one spray on my wrist and in the warm autumn wind it smelled amazing. The dry down is beautiful. I am going to buy a bottle tomorrow!! So excited!! Thank you for your reviews, they are always so informative and interesting!!

One other frangrance that comes close to the gardenia scent is Sand & Sable. Inexpensive, but nice to wear during south Florida summers.

My favorite perfume with gardenia is La Panthere by Cartier. It is bold, sensual and lasts a long time on my skin. It is a very pretty smell :-) I enjoyed your video. Gardenia is my favorite floral scent too. I can see I have 6 of the perfumes you have mentioned.

I have been searching for the most AUTHENTIC smelling Gardenia perfume without all of the other scents added. If I could just get pure Gardenia fragrance I would be in heaven, but it would also cost a small fortune. So, does anyone have a recommendation?

Yves Rocher made a gardenia fragrance some years ago. The only thing I found to smell like a true gardenia. It has since been discontinued.

I couldn't disagree more regarding the Estee Lauder Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia. It is not overpowering it is simple and very clean. The Tuberose is the scent that dominates and not everyone can handle the richness. I think it's a perfect balance and a perfect lovely combination of my 2 favorite flowers. I wear this all the time.

I didn’t care for gorgeous gardenia, it had a fruit citrus top that I can’t handle, but I bought gorgeous Jasmine because I preferred it and honestly I HAD to have one of the bottles! The turquoise bottle is my absolute favorite bottle in my entire collection ! Anyways… lol My EL Tuberose Gardenia just arrived today, I blind bought it after wanting it forever, it’s phenomenal!! Wow! it’s my only gardenia scent I own

I like Chanel's Gardénia, Estée Lauder's Tuberose Gardenia and Kai's Kai perfume. Kai is definitely my most favorite of the bunch and smells like the flower on the bush. I know this, because I grow them in my garden at home. I really want to try that Jo Loves Gardenia perfume though! It sounds divine. I'd also like to smell Hawaiian Forever Florals Gardenia too, so I have heard that also smells amazing really realistic smelling.

yess, tbs english gardenia included in this video, I prefer this one than Fijian Lotus one since they almost smelled the same..it's heavier in the scent and has a more solid molecule I think😄

Thanks for another great review, Soki! Another idea/request for a perfume note: Lily of the Valley. I always "think" I know what this smells like, but then I find perfumes that surprise me (in a good way), and have NO Lily of the Valley in them! I am considering a blind buy of Molinard's EDP called "Muguet" and would love to hear your thoughts! (apparently IFRA is changing regulations about the LOTV-related perfume ingredients, as well) IFRA = Int'l Fragrance Association Muguet = French word for Lily of the Valley

The gardena perfume from the body shop has been discontinued as well the body shop is making cuts to only sell our top 100 products. Gardenia is not a top seller. The jasmine and cherry blossom white musk and black musk stayed however the UK has some products we don't have in the us.

I was just googling Gardenia - so perfect timing for your video. How do you pick out each note such as gardenia, tuberose, patchouli, osmanthus etc if you dont know what each smells like. Can you buy samples of each note or is it a trip to the garden centre to smell each flower? 😂

I have never met anyone who did NOT like the Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia cologne. I bought up several at TJ Maxx. Its hard to find now but worth it. Very light and yes, lily of valley.
