Meteorites were the only known source of iron from late stone age to early bronze age, some egyptian faraons as wells as other kings and rulers of ancient world has swords, daggers and all sorts of jewelry made of meteorite iron. Altrough meteorite iron not always pure and good for forging weapons it was rare and superior to copper and bronze and valued really high.

its is GORG the natural texture that came out of the meteorite and I LOVE the detail of the lotus because it really ties into the sokkas sword journey when the master gave him that lotus tile. that detail alone on the meteorite sword makes it really special.

I've seen this episode countless times. Even though I'm partial to the newer MAA episodes, this is still my favourite build. I like this design so much, I even used it as a template for making a wooden replica, for a Sokka cosplay some years back.

This is probably the most perfect project (execution wise) that he's ever done. Between making it out of -- actual -- meteor (which makes it a -- space -- weapon, dude!), the cactus reference (it'll quench ya!), destroying the live action movie, and just the -- perfect -- presentation of the weapon (which, it seems, they sometimes struggle with), this was flawless.
