Three years ago my sweet cat, Marbles passed away. I composed "Solace" at that time. This weekend I decided to create a revised video, hope you like it! Warmest wishes to you all, I hope you find the music soothing and calming. Here's the link to my shop for the sheet music download: musicdiscoveries.shop/products/solace

I'm beginner a fledgling at the harp. And I find I can play your compositions, from where my skillsets are right now. You help me play beautiful music now and that means everything when trying to combat/live-in and love this world we all live it. Thank You.

Hello Anne. That sounds dreamlike beautiful. You play wonderful. I moved me to tears . Many years ago I had put Tiger, my beloved cat to sleep. And I thought of the man l love so much and who I miss so much. Greatings Carina
Beautiful! I love this piece and play it regularly at hospice. I always get such positive comments from clients and family when they hear this piece. It came at a "purr-fect " time amidst the craziness of the world these days when we all need something calming. I needed that moment.....Thanks for sharing Anne.

I remember your first video showed images of your sweet Marbles, who resembled my cat Michelle. (See my profile pic) Well, Michelle recently passed away, so hearing this song is like getting a warm, fuzzy, purring visit from her. She and Marbles are playing together over the rainbow bridge. Or maybe lazing around in a spot of sunlight. And that brings me solace. Blessings to you as you remember Marbles.

Aw, I'm so sorry Lisa. You must be missing your sweet Michelle. The old video of Solace is still on my channel, so Marbles is still purring away there.

Wow!...its a lovely piece Anne. The WA mics definitely add dimension. Its quite a journey just doing the engineering side alone let alone the art itself. If hope its ok...and hopefully help us both, I would like to express my perspective :-) I can hear some phase fighting between the k&k and the WAs. It may not work but its worth trying the k&k as the low end definition by using a low pass filter at eg 150hz and then a high pass @ 150hz on the WAs . This way the pure bass which is of course non directional supports the bottom without hearing it. The WAs bring the space in and directionality. I imagine you are already doing 90 degree stereo but as you have a solo instrument; dont be afraid to go to an ortf mic mount, esp with the km84 type mics and spread the image a bit. I love the k&k devices...I have a 3 point mini on a classical guitar and this technique seems to work nicely on hence my reason for suggesting it. The only downside is that normally, the k&k dont allow for breakout ie a stereo out on the big twin else that would be another avenue. They had a demo of a hotshot on a tongue drum, it was super glued; it sounded absolutely incredible and the absolute best way to record tongue drum with just some very high pass filtered room for direction. Hope that helps... Really enjoying your gift :-)

Do you have a version of Solace for a harp tuned in C?

Sometimes I offer an alternate tuning, but I feel this one really needs to stay in F Major.
