I am confused between buying an all-season jacket like solace furious v3 ( or Furious Pro) vs something like solace urban rival v3. i dont plan to do long tours but primarily for my daily commutes which includes highway+city. Protection is paramount and at the same time though i live in chandigarh which is cold for about 4 months, I would want to be able to wear the jacket in summers too. Will urban rival v3 be good enough for winters ? ALternativelty will furious v3 of solace be comfortable in summers with vents open ? OR would it be uncomfortable to wear furious v3 in summers. I ride an interceptor 650. Reason for wanting to buy Furious v3 { even thinking of furious pro} is (1) maybe better armor quality, (2) maybe more useful in winter months (3) inner lining felt comfortable. Reason to incline towards something like urabn rival v3 (1) maybe more airy in summers. (2) little lighter in weight { as of now i dont see it as a concern as i think i might get used to the weight, but dont know what impact extra weight will have in summers}. (3) newer model. Pls suggest.

For city / summer use best jacket is rival urban v3 But since you want a complete package I would suggest you go for furious Fit of the jacket will be more comfortable plus 4 months winter , furious will be better, additional better protection and material. Summers rides if you do regularly in city for short duration for like if it’s a ride for 5,7 kms just to and fro to a certain place then you will have problems cz of the weight and ventilation but if morning rides you do in summers 50,100 kms then ventilation in long rides you won’t feel problem So would recommend furious

@1234fazermann for now I ordered RE Nirvik as there was a very good deal om amazon. it's still in shipping. will update. If all goes well plan is to use it for winters only and then as summers come, buy something more suited to the weather then.

@@ramnik.bansal Nirvik is bulletproof, unsuitable for summers. You may get something like solace thrift mesh for summers. I just bought a rival v3, because RE, Rynox & Korda weren't fitting me well, size M was too tight & in size L, armours weren't in place.

Tarmac has chest protector, its just that it doesn’t have level 2 chest protector, Ppl prefer tarmac for its looks, plus you get an additional hump in it. Which you won’t get in solace urban v3

I liked this jacket but one thing i don't understand is that why there is upside down pocket for chest armour and that too with small velcro? These small things makes buyer confused whether to buy this jacket or look for other option. Solace team should have done proper research.
