Great job on the setup. The only thing I don't like is the bus bars in the inverter. I wouldn't use those. Instead I would use the 2 cables per side of the battery (4 in total) because of the amount of amps that inverter can push/pull when operating at max. By using 1 cable per side of the battery (2 in total), you're placing a tremendous amount of amps on a single cable when the inverter is operating at or next max.

Those look just like Pytes E-Box batteries. Excellent installation.

Хорошая работа, вопрос, а почему жилы не обжать перед подключением? Окисление и неполное прижатие ведь будет при таком подключении…
@SolarEngineering6 ай бұрын
по местным правилам обжимать не надо. Если затянуть правильным моментом, то не должно быть проблем.

Did you run a cable from the grid through the bottom of the main panel, through the raceway and then to the solark?
@SolarEngineering4 ай бұрын
1:22 at the bottom you can see 2 LBs, a deeper one going from the main panel to AC disconnect and then to Sol-Ark. From Sol-Ark coming back to subpabel via another LB.

hello what are your thoughts on using an Automatic transfer switch versus a double throw switch ?
@SolarEngineeringАй бұрын
double throw is more like for servicing system, no ATS needed there

Using a sol-ark 15k would with generator and no batteries, with no solar, how would you use the Sol-Ark as an Auto transfer switch?
@paulcarrigg83203 ай бұрын
If you have no solar and no batteries, then when you install the backup generator you make sure you buy the automatic transfer switch and your down. Power goes out, transfer switch senses power outage and stars generator. When power comes back, it’s senses that and turns off generator. 25kw with transfer switch might be about 7-8K?
@pharpester3 ай бұрын
That is what I was thinking, but I want to use sol-ark as the Auto transfer switch until I can buy batteries. Otherwise in your example I am spending $1k for transfer switch, the. When I go to get a sol-ark 15k, I throw away that $1k.

where do you get those bus bars ?
@SolarEngineering5 ай бұрын
I'm buying it from online stores, just search for "solark15k busbar". Price range $50-$70

I would never install a Sol-Ark as a backup power source for my home because it doesn't offer a high enough surge power capacity for the loads in my home.
@SolarEngineering6 ай бұрын
are you aware of any alternatives?
@quickquote15686 ай бұрын
Yes, Schneider Electric, Sigineer Power, Outback Power, and Magnum Energy all offer heavy duty, high quality transformer based inverter chargers. Watch "XW Pro vs Sol Ark" to see a comparison between these two inversion technologies. @@SolarEngineering

Yes, the Schneider Electric low frequency XW series inverters or the larger Sigineer low frequency, transformer based inverters.
