In Solar Cooking on the Go Sun Visor vs Copenhagen Solar Cooker - FREE Solar Cooking with a FREE Solar Cooker, the Two Tired Teachers experiment with a sun visor and a solar cooker using an ear of corn in each.
Solar Cooking on the Go is solar cooking that is portable whether hiking, tent camping, or RV camping with - FREE Solar Cooking with a FREE Solar Cooker.
In this experiment, the Two Tired Teachers practice cooking corn with a sun visor vs. cooking corn with a Copenhagen solar cooker. Hence the title, sun visor vs Copenhagen solar cooker.
Everything --the cooking bags, racks, pots and thermometers -- can be used again. After an hour or so, the thermometer in the Copenhagan was registering about 250 degrees while the sun visor was only at 225.
Wind showed that the Copenhagan was better to use on windy days because it stood up to the wind much better. The sun visor was falling over itself, casting shadows on the pot inside.
After cooking for two hours, the corn in both the sun visor and the Copenhagen was cooked to perfection. We had solar cooked corn that night.
As seen in the video, this was solar cooking on the go with free solar cooker. Both cooker were DYI solar cooker.

I have a Question: What would be the effect if I use microwavable Ziplock bag instead of Oven bag? Would it do a better job at retaining the heat? Anyways thank you for your video!

thank you for the class,,,, can you tell me a little about the cooking bags, where, how much, reuseable, good or best brand, i made a solar box once and want to do again but i like your easy to bring along... what do you do if its a constantly windy thank you

The cooking bags are either roasting bags or crock pot bags. They are roughly $1 each, and they are reuseable. The brands are very similar; we've used Reynolds most often. If you used rocks on the corners to hold the cooker in place, you should be okay unless it is really windy.
