Hi, I have a question. I've downloaded the app. How do I know if its activated on the day of the eclipse? Do you go to "Eclipse Data" then click on the stored site? Then will the Solar Eclipse Timer be activated -- just quietly working in the background until the first programmed announcement comes on? Thanks.

Technically, the app is always "armed" so if it has the proper permissions and you have the April 8th eclipse purchased, it'll just automatically work. But you should make sure your GPS coordinates are up to date. You can also do a couple more things to make sure everything is working: If you click Select an Eclipse to Time followed by selecting the April 8th eclipse, Then if you do "Tap to load contact times" then the app should be activated for that eclipse. You can also do "Go to the GPS Data Screen" and "tap to load contact times" to see that the contact times are loaded. And finally, make sure you do the "Do a device sound check" tests to make sure the app can talk to you. Hope this helps!

@@Naztronomy Thanks! This was the part I was worried about. I've watched Telepun's Vids but never heard him specifically say something like 'Now the app is armed'. I'm reasonably sure that the GPS coordinates I've imputed for the site in Texas are correct. That said, I'll use the phone to "Tap to load contact times". Perhaps and hour before C1? I'll follow up by going to the GPS data screen in order to confirm that in fact the contact times are loaded. That the app "automatically works" is a relief.

Hello, I am having trouble with the notification test at 6:10. So I get the notification text but I do not get the audio when the screen times out and locks itself (I set it to sleep after 30 seconds for the test). Is this important? Once I see the notification, I can just open the app back up but I am wondering if this would mess with anything else. Does it HAVE to play the Test#1 audio? Thanks!

I think you got the answer on Discord but I'll just repeat it here for anyone reading these comments with similar questions: - Make sure you notification sound is turned on and not on vibrate - Notifcations aren't important for the app to work. If notifications don't work, the app just won't talk to you, which is'n't the end of the world. You just have to pay more attention.
