I don't think this is ever going to happen again unfortunately. I must say that Robert Elster still did a pretty good damn job at it, when you compare Movements back from 2009 and from 2018, they do sound different, but I really believe that Robert improved a bit the aural overture and put his own touch to it, while being really faithful to the original work made by Huby Sea and Vincent Villuis back then. A sort of super-tribute to them :-) But yeah, I somehow miss the Ultimae days as well, with Magnus and Carbon Based Lifeforms being part of that incredible roaster that owes as much to Ultimae that Ultimae owes them... Good days !

@@ADDADotflac breh... First, if you are not Magnus, this message was not for you. About remasterings: they both (haven't yet listened to Extended remaster) are worse than original albums. Speaking of Movements, turn Sol and Sol (Remastered) at top volume and you will see (hear), that in original you have greater sound pressure in low mid and mid range, how it was supposed to be. Dud, I like Solar Fields very much and listen to his music for 4 hours+ per day, but i hate the way he let sidereal out this remasters. Speaking of which, Movements remastered was not so extremely bad as Leaving Home remaster and I can even listen to it. In Leaving Home remastered roughly half of tracks were made at level of Movements remaster (ok), rest of them and SPECIALLY Insum made me butthurt, because in Insum bass became 1.7 times louder at hearing, WHILE EVERYTHING ELSE IS NOT CHANGED. I have waited for remastering this album since Movements remaster, mostly for Insum, and yes, i'm triggered.

@@SomeDud-lm1mi It's not like Magnus will ever think about re-remaster his albums now. And I think he knows better than anyone, including us, how he wants his music to sound like. And I didn't even say that the remaster was better than the original, just different, and I like Robert's approach as much as I still value Ultimae's work on it, and even more in their actual releases. The remaster emphasized our point of view to focus on details I didn't even notice on the original issue (and I, too, listened a lot to this one, if it does even matter), and it has his downsides (I actually agree with Sol). There is something to pick on each side in my opinion, but ultimately, our opinion doesn't matter. No need to be so angry, even less at me, I'm just here to chill and have a nice conversation, but it doesn't look like you want it, so just leave it there :-)

Remasters are always conflicting. I hold all the original releases close to my heart and hearing the changes can be a bit egheghehgehgehg. So excited for this new release though. Origin series is so unique.@@SomeDud-lm1mi

Не знаю, как по мне мувементс довольно попсовенький и слащавый. А вот то же следующий Until We Meet The Sky очень шикарный , эмоциональный и глубокий. И к слову "Ориджинсы" у Магнуса по по определению не полноценные альбомы, а сборники ранее неиздаваемых разношерстных работ, то есть не обьединены общей концепцией, как студийные альбомы по типу того же "Movements

@@Irrationalify SF в принципе посов, но своими не человечески гармоничными и богатыми структурами делал что то невероятное :) На Movements был Sol и Discovering, а остальные композиции согласен - да, были крайне попсовыми) А с какого альбома(трека) начали свое знакомство с его творчеством? Просто те, кто начинал с первых трех альбомов , к тому что было после относятся как правило прохладно.

@@DmitriyOksiopat Моей первой услышанной композицией Магнуса был Discovering, а потом весь Movements, Leaving Home, Origin'ы. И я офигел от всего услышанного! Все, что слушал из похожего ранее, поблекло перед его творчеством. Сейчас в моем музыкальном топе с ним может посоревноваться только немец-неоклассицист Нильс Фрам, но последний, к большому сожалению, очень мало выпускает электронных композиций. Если интересно, послушайте часовое выступление Nils Frahm на Montreux Jazz Festival 2015. Вот бы их обоих как-то сколлаборировать - вдруг бы это стало точкой бифуркации в мире современной электронной музыки))
