7:44 : This shot is beautiful both visually and symbolically. A magnificient construction from thousands of years earlier meets the first solar impulsed plane in history. It shows how far Humanity has gone and gives many hope about what is still to be done.

@@MichaelJohanBosco🔴 What Is Islam? 🔴 Islam is not just another religion. 🔵 It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. 🔴 Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. 🔵 It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. 🔴 It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. 🌍 The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: 📖 { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) 📚 🔴 Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. 🔵 Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him. Success of Solar Impulse-2 is one of the biggest achievement of solar technology and it is the indicative that solar technology can can bring the total reliance of energy for human use on solar energy. That time is not far that solar energy will replace fossil fuel and the dream of clean world with clean energy will be the real reality. My heartiest best congratulation to whole team who contributed to achieve this great success.

What a beautiful, elegant, and majestic airplane! Stunning images of plane flying over The Pyramids in Egypt, and flying over the San Francisco Bridge! Great pilots, and team: inspiring optimism, open-mindedness, and un-bias! Saint-Exupéry's "NIGHT FLIGHT" ("Vol de Nuit") published in 1931, has a lot in common with, and is very relevant to the "Solar Impulse 2" project: a MUST read, after watching Nova's 2018 documentary on this enterprise: "The Impossible Flight!

for all due respect, but putting solar cells directly on a electrically driven plane is just l‘art pour l‘art. even with efficiencies of 100% , this can never be commercialized. the idea has to be to create synfuels with solar cells on the ground, and these synfuels can then feed combustion engine driven planes. But this here will never be more than just an exercise.

I feel like going over one of the poles during the summer season would be easy power-wise as it's sunny 24/7 then (although they would have to add weight to insulate the cockpit, they already had to wear parkas just flying in the stratosphere over the tropics), but they would have to wait 6 months to do the other pole because when it's light for six months in the Arctic, it's dark for six months in the Antarctic and vice-versa.

"The solar airplane has now successfully made it full circle around the world," It's an interesting and worthwhile project....so why besmirch it with what is - at best - a disingenuous claim? You could have made the same claim by taking off, circling the airfield for a while and then landing....every couple of days over the period of a couple years.....and when you racked up the needed mileage, claimed you'd circumnavigated the globe

Just watch this on tv. And when he prepared to land at the Phoenix airports the images of the skinny things with the extra long wings , the only thing that have flashed my mines was the famous UFO story of the lights of Phoenix. The story where a big numbers of witnessed had the times of taking numerous photography’s of this event, and look at both pictures side by side and since the angles of the wings it looks kinda of a V-shapes things also with the extra long wings it makes this thing bigger and they put many lights along the wings , telling you look at a picture of the lights of Phoenix and one of the solar impulse in dusks the look alike is unbelievable. And like a cherry on a Sunday it doesn’t make a sound 😱😱😱😱 Makes you wonder ??? 😂😂😂😂

Was the pc that you are using commercially viable 50 years ago? This may not be the best tech right now but it may lead to improvements in the future. If we would have worked on energy storage in the same manner as petrol we would be 50 years advanced from where we are at now. I believe a shift needs to happen from commercial to humane sometime soon as the commercial numbers portray a grim humanity.
