The music is dedicated to the ghost olive trees, who get ravaged by the bacterium called Xylella fastidiosa, which stops water reaching tree’s branches and causes them to die.
Mascarimirì aka Claudio Cavallo is the pioneer for the "contamination" of Salento's traditional sound.
