A Grandad project if ever I saw one and looking splendid now. The 3D printed solar panel holder, the repurposing of the gramaphone player housing, it's turned out very well 😀

Thanks, I might have to add a couple of switches. One for the turntable motor. The noise it makes rather spoils the effect. The other switch for the main solar panel, as Nanny has already suggested it might fall off the shelf "accidentally" 🙁🙁

@@GrandadIsAnOldMan 🤣 A thin rubber band off the mechanism motor would cause too much drag perhaps. Greased bearing, a little coreless motor instead - the turntable must be saved from accidental harm haha

@Slider2732_ I expect some grease on the bearings would help, but it is not a big deal. Only relevant when it is being filmed, the rest of the time it is "when a tree falls in the forest" territory 😁

What if the turntable and music box shares the same supercapacitor? The turntable should be connected trough a switch, of course.
