That was an easy fix and turned a four pound investment into a very interesting pulse motor rotor " testing stand". I look forward to seeing the rotors you built for it. That simple circuit is as timeless as the 'Joule Thief' circuit. It is something that anyone interested in electronic pulse motors should build..😀

If you made a wheel with magnets and placed it above the base it would probably rotate. It would be a good idea to connect a multimeter to the circuit and measure the current consumption

can we 3d print it ?
@GrandadIsAnOldMan4 күн бұрын
Well the base and the support arms are plastic anyway. That really doesn't leave much to print. You could print the circular parts. The axles and bearing surfaces would be lower friction if they were metal but they would work for a while as plastic. So the answer is, yes you could print it, if you really wanted to.

Simple fix, wire was disconnected from the battery terminal.
@mikeflight94 күн бұрын
It seems to be pulsing too fast. Maybe the capacitor is not getting a proper charge so it will have little energy and that might make the pulse too fast. Or the capacitor is faulty and the circuit is just pumping out the raw pulse to the coil instead of charging the cap to release the energy slower. Will be interesting to see the inside of it. 👌👍👍
