Recover the screen from the 1st tablet. You can get connectors to sub and power and use as a standalone monitor.

This thing used to give me such angina. The idea that if any of the physical components shift or change, the physics would be affected. Idk man it's like the feeling of being in a rollercoaster and thinking that if anything is physically off it will derail. Watching this thing spin thinking of that made me feel like ass
@powerman195517 сағат бұрын
Is that a left hand drive car? Sure looks like it or maybe it's just the angle?

What printer do you use? I have a Creality ender 3 v3 se and that one tends to specifically hate my red to indigo gradient filament but some tweaking of settings when I run the models through cura definitely helps
@ElijahAdams-w9gКүн бұрын
Also making sure your filament is at the right temp for printing will help if you haven't been doing that. sometimes different colors of filament have different printing temperatures. Sometimes it's a range like for example, I use Mika3D color change filament at the moment, and the temperature range is 205-225, so I had to experiment a bit.

It is an Ender 3. I think I have fixed the issue now (maybe), there are half a dozen videos coming up on the subject, so that kept me occupied 😁😁

I do like clock mechanisms. This one didn't have too many parts, so it didn't take too long to print, or at least it wouldn't have taken long if I didn't have problems. I think I have fixed the issue now (maybe), there are half a dozen videos coming up on the subject, so that kept me occupied 😁😁

Should have put it on eBay as sold for parts/not tested. Seems to be a retro scene for these old cameras. Can you put it back together? 🤫
@GrandadIsAnOldManКүн бұрын
I stopped selling on eBay years ago. I can't be fussed with packaging stuff up. If stuff works I take it to a charity shop. If it doesn't then I strip it down for parts, or just bin it.
@johnwynne-qx6brКүн бұрын
Nice model shame about your yellow filament, would be nice to do a bigger one with a old clock spring. 👍
@GrandadIsAnOldManКүн бұрын
I don't think the filament helps but there are bigger issues with the printer. "Fingers crossed," I might have fixed the issues, but it has been a long journey. There is a whole series of videos on my other channel running over Christmas. A typical "one step forward - two steps backward" scenario.
@johnwynne-qx6brКүн бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that. I don't have a 3D printer I have been very tempted to get a printer or cnc but I can't stand working whith computers . And obviously there is a certain amount of working with computers to print or cut something. But I'm amazed at what they can do and with the right setup should be reasonably trouble free. Hopefully it's sorted out now 👍

To reset to factory - you press volume up and power at the same time and hold until a little green android shows on the screen. Then a menu is shown, which includes wiping the system. Sometimes it's volume down and power. Good luck with the repair! As it happens, am looking at a couple of our old tablets, with the idea to convert to retro game players using a Bluetooth controller.

What I find amazing is the "computer" part is tiny. Most of the space is taken up by the batteries. I guess it is not really surprising when you realise your phone is probably significantly more powerful than that tablet. The battery size is probably required just to run the screen.

There is a video series coming up later this month where I buy a new one off eBay that is clearly a cheap fake clone which does not have the features it should have. I do a tear down to demonstrate the "Infrared LEDs" are actually a fake plastic moulding, NO LEDs are fitted.
