Solar Panel Generation - March 2024. Import, Export and Costs.

Very nice I live in Wales and this is my first year with solar panesl I currently have 18 x 435 kW panels across 3 roofs 6 East 6 south east and 6 south, 6kW inverter feeding my 10 kW battery system I generated 485 kWh with a export of 240 kW. I cant believe how much cloud and rain we have had but still produced that much energy. Youve got great figures be nice to see next month

Great stats as usual Daniel. Here in the Midlands March wasn't the best, very wet and some heavily clouded days. Our worst days align and best days vary slightly. However from my WSW 5.6kW array I generated 344kWh, exported 204kWh, and imported 194kWh meaning my net grid consumption was -10kWh which I am happy with. I was about 50kWh down on what PVGIS suggests. Gas Tracker was another massive saving, Tracker average price was 3.89p p/kWh vs 7.29p p/kWh meaning I saved £49.19 in March, bringing my gas savings so far for 2024 to £146.34

Great figs! It's my first full month (installed 13 x 435kW panels SW facing, 9.6kW battery, 5.6kW inverter early Feb this year) my figs are: 295kW generated 133kW export, not sure if this is good or bad for N Wales. About 10 days ago I moved to IOF from Octopus Go. I changed to Gas tracker mid-Feb, such a great tariff, has been down to 3.7p/kWh now 4.1pkWh!! One question I would like to ask is regarding Axle Savings, I joined about 5 days ago and at the time I was asked to remove my other savings programmes such as Octoplus, otherwise the Axle savings will prob not work. How did you get round this, it seems like you are on Axle/GivBack and Octoplus? Thanks

NIce. I'm currently in limbo waiting for my installer to provide an MCS cert so i can get paid for export so at the moment Im very old school using whatever solar I can as I'm producing way more than a days usage every day even on overcast days. Every the sun peaks out I'm plugging the granny charger in but Ive not been driving much LOL :-). Sytems been running for about ten days now and most days getting 20kWh+. So instead of using cheap rate at night Ive got dishwasher wsshing machine tumble dryer on in the day (taking care not to go over my 5kW inverter)

yes that is what I did untill I got my export, I used local interstall as heard and see to many bad installs, Im with Octoplus for my export and been very good paid on time

@@Scarletsb0y Yeh I should have chosen a different installer, mine went bust, luckily they provided me the MCS cert certificate just a few days before they went into administration.

Octopus has very poor service and crap installers
