Thanks for the annual figures some interesting stats Only had mine fitted in December so not got my export tariff kicked in yet and already over these last few days of a bit of sun I've been exporting by accident when the battery is full. Oh and octopus 🐙 has a saving session today that I still can't export to make the most of it so I'm hoping there are plenty more when that export kicks in. Keep up the good work.

my very rough calculations show an overall saving of circa £1800 for the year inc export and being able to use battery and agile rates which gives be a payback on my 5.2 solar 10kw batt system 7.7years

Very timely, looks like I am getting in at the right time of year, as I am getting solar and battery installed next month. Will be good to see how it compares with you and my predictions. 9Kw solar all S facing. 40% will have shading at points 60% will never be shaded. My scrappy spreadsheet says around 7 years to breakeven. I dont expect to see a graph like yours (at 3 min) on as my plan is to import cheap rate and use that, export all solar all year round as youve started to do. So presumably you expect your summer export figures to jump this year compared to last? Unfortunately i cant get rid of gas without a big expense so the only reason to do it would be because I want to, not as a paying project. I'll investigate the gas tracker. I have an EV, my man maths says moving from Go to Intelligent Go will save me £40 because of the drop from 9p to 7.5p for the overnight period.

Hi Daniel, it was probably me who commented on the gas. It's a shame you are waiting for your meter situation to be resolved. For the first half of this month we have used 791kWh of gas at an average of 4.43p per/kWh. totaling £35.09 if I were on Flexible which is 7.29p per/kWh in my area I would have spent £57.66, therefore I have saved £22.57 in 15 days. I do understand the necessity to get away from gas and use more electricity when greener. My thermostat is set to 18 degrees, so not exactly tropical. With regards to Octopus quoting 2 weeks to swap you to Flexible, that is their SLA, in reality I'm sure they would do it a lot quicker, unless there was a world event that made everyone want to swap 🤔 It's an averages game, if I've paid on average 3p per/kWh less than standard rate for 15 days, I would be no worse off if I had to pay 3p over standard rate for 15 days.

I've now got a date for a new electric meter with dual band, they are fitting it in early March. So, hopefully, that will fix it.
