My natal location solar return chart was way more appealing than my relocation chart, which put stationing Saturn on the ascendant. So I appreciate your take. 😅 I would love to hear your perspective on eclipses in the progressed chart. I have an eclipse in my progressed chart that will be exactly conjunct my natal moon at 11° Sagittarius (12th house). I know it isn't too crazy to have an eclipse in the progressed chart, since anyone born a few months before one could, but I am guessing that having one exactly conjunct a major planet is more rare. It is still a ways off for me, but I just find it so fascinating.

We all know about Solar return chart. Today I discovered my Jupiter return chart and I quite resonate with it. My past 12 years really resonates with my past Jupiter return chart.

You can do a return chart for any planet return! Mars return, Saturn return etc. most commonly used are either the solar return for year ahead themes or lunar returns for monthly themes.

Thank you for this video, I am definitely considering taking your course on the topic! I'm still new to solar returns and astrology as a whole. I typically use the whole-sign system nowadays but when it comes to Solar Returns many people online have said to stick to Placidus or Koch that I've started to do that. It just gets confusing when one chart has prominent placements in two different houses based on the system used. It makes it hard to read into my own future so to speak, but I think it is one of those things where time will tell which system is most accurate in my chart.

Lovely insights Kelly, succinct but super helpful! And very timely for me today on my birth 'day' (my solar return was yesterday evening)! Saturn is my Lord of the Year, and almost conjunct my natal Sun. Saturn is, however, in a much stronger position than in my natal chart, and direct too! Two aspects of note I see straightaway for this year are an opposition between my natal Moon and solar return Moon, and between natal Jupiter and Jupiter in my solar return chart. It would be great to learn more about the reading the potential in solar return charts!

12:00- finding the time lord Wow, according to this, mercury (lord of 8th house) is supposed to be my time lord this past year, and I am not connecting to this at all. Edit: my solar return mercury is squaring my solar return mars, which [possibly?] explains why nothing related to the 8th house or mercury has happened this year. Frustration related to this.

The placement of the year lord in the SR chart is decisive. If it's let's say in the solar return 10th house, the profected 8th and 10th in the SR narrow down the areas of life. You then continue with judging dignity and aspects to have a clearer picture of what to expect.

Hi Kelly quick question.. when comparing the solar return aspects to the Natal. Should I use the resource guide, Planets in Transit would be my guess or Planets in Aspect. I've heard it be called a stand alone chart. (not my thoughts either) But would make that difference in resource material. When delineating a Birth Chart its the Aspect, unless my astro brain imploded LOL.. Thanks XO

Oh my! My solar return has mercury, venus, mars, pluto in Capricorn . Sun, moon, saturn in aquarius. Jupiter, Neptune, descendant and vertex in pisces. Uranus and north node in Taurus and ascendant and part of fortune in Virgo. Am I coming together or being squished?
