Hi there, I'm Ricki, I'm adding the final piece to the puzzle for living out of my Subaru, I've been waiting weeks for it, and of course there are issues...road life is full of them.
More opportunities to learn how good I am at solving problems I guess. 🙃
In this video I'll show you the solar set-up for my Goal Zero Yeti 200W portable power station. And let you in on how I'm feeling about this trip as the overwhelm sneaks in and tries to make me rethink things.
I hope by showing the not so glamours parts of this that it helps demystify what it takes to bring a project to fruition. Sometimes it takes a break, recentering, and getting clear on the why for the situation.
The comments that folks have left me so far have been so great. Cheering me on helps me, but the tips and tricks have been amazing too, so keep them coming please!

Thank you, it's been a better process over the last few days keeping that in mind each time the little fear gremlin in my brain pops ups. Thank you for keeping up with me on this journey!

What a struggle to even figure that one tiny piece out. But if it helps one person not have to do all the research I did, then time well spent. Thanks for watching and your comment. I'm working on that positive energy! Soon from the road!

Just be on your own time and don't sweat the small stuff. You've got this. Easier said than done. One of the things I find with filming content is it keeps me motivated. I too get the pressure of "man I didn't feel like doing this right now". Then you do it and you're happy as hell. Have a great trip.

Very true! Sometimes I just felt like scrapping everything, but when I gave myself a timeline of sharing the process in videos it's pushed me to keep ticking off those tasks. And thanks for the reminder about being on my own time. I need reminders like that. Excited to share with you from the road!

Yes it is very stressful and overwhelming at times especially when things don't go as planned or you kind of feel rushed. Hope the solar panel works so you don't have to return it. Thanks for showing and being honest with your feelings and emotions, it is not always easy at all.

I really appreciate you commenting on that. I was so tempted to just keep the exciting bit about it actually still working. But I want to show that it's not all exciting, a lot of this is work and solving problems (and sometimes it's solving your own attitude about things too). Thank you again for watching me go through this!

Girl don't be in anyones hurry. That just sucks the joy out the journey. I'm doing this very thing now (lower 48). Safe travels and God bless!

Yes! Thank you for the reminder, my own time, so I have the best time. I wish you very safe travels in the lower 48. If this goes well I think I'll have to take the Subaru down there too!

There are enough people in the world doing things they don't enjoy. Take your time and do this for you at your own pace whenever you are in the mood. Not in the mood don't work on it that day. It should be enjoyable, and you should look forward to doing it. Keep it up!

So TRUE. There certainly are enough people in the world doing things they do not enjoy, and I don't want to be one of them. I'm back on my time, and I'm enjoying myself. But I might need this reminder when I'm out there on the road. If you see me slipping, then drop me a reminder again (please)! haha
