Tip: Add space/mylar blanket in with your gear.... Signals ok to pretty good Can be used to enhance solar stills with increase thermal power. Deflect heat away from one's body( shade) Fairly compact and fairly light weight so you can have more than 1. Its also water proof, however; I'm not sure how well it would hold up over time vs salt water. Since simple ones are about 7 by 4.5ft , they can be pre cut before heading out...

I have clear plastic liner in my bug-out bag as you can see through it to better line up where to put the stone or weight on it over the collection cup - also, try to stabilize the collection cup so it does not move around, especially on a raft. Nice video.

Joe Pickard using heavy soaked rag around the collection cup seems to work as rag acts a friction for the collection cup.

Black plastic is suboptimal, direct sunlight heats it up and condensation on it will be minimal, if any. You should use transparent plastic.

Пакет черный, т.е. будет нагреваться и вода не будет конденсироваться на горячей пленке.

It's been done in the desert. As well certain natural therapies - the Japanese call it Water of Life, use it (one can dilute it). The reason being is like homeopathic therapy - like cures like. It won't kill you at any rate.
