am thinking with a drain back system the only time the collector works is when the sun is out. so am thinking power the pump with a solar panel. is this feasible sir?

I didn’t understand the function of the fill/ drainge valve? How it fill and at the same rime it drain water?

I hate solar water heaters. I mean who likes not having hot water on demand. I wish I never had one.
