Because essence reaver costs 100 more gold now. He can purchase essence earlier and make up the 100 gold pace by starting longsword.

@@alejandromoreno7911 Yeah that's a thing changed along with the longsword start. You can set up a barrel around 1:35 of the game to let you get an early barrel-barrel*2 combo. That should post threat to your opponent while costing no mana since you don't have corrupted and early Qs sucks.
