Everyone says that AWG copper wire = B&S copper wire.....however many sites claim a far higher Amp rating for the B&S equivalent For example, Google says 00 B&S cable is rated at ~290 Amps, whereas the Wiki page (5:45) for AWG cable states 00 AWG is rated at 195 Amps.....so confusing. Are they the same or not?

As a backyard machanic the AWG is a much simpler system. I go to auto shop and just ask for a 22 gauge wire.
