E gas gauge on mine has a mind of its own too it had 1/4 of a tank and when I started it it went up to 3/4 slowly then cam back

You need a new fuel sending unit. In our experience just replacing the whole fuel pump is better, because aftermarket fuel sending units are not compatible with OEM pumps.

i dont care, it eventually reads right, its just a woods truck too so im not going to mess with it and it says empty qhwn its in park

Clear coat on the paint can always be fixed.
