Diesel does appear desirable for towing/haul heavy loads in a Truck or SUV structure. I can imagine better fuel economy per gallon, and improved performance (towing) but one of the members of the Chinook forum brought up an excellent point, that got me wondering and questioning the use of a Diesel in a Chinook RV. I question how comfortable a big 7.3 Turbo (hot) diesel would be in an RV like this, as the engine is actually next to your legs (between the driver and passenger) and your are only protected by a plastic cover (that is how you access this engine), and not out in front, and on the other side of the firewall. Anyone have long term experience in this configuration (I would appreciate hearing about it).

It's not the miles of the tires, it's the year. If they have been sitting, they will crack so make sure you look at the year of the tires.

Yeah, by law they would be obligated to install all BRAND NEW tires (due to the sidewall cracks) before selling it. At NO extra charge.
