When I worked at Macys there were a few things that constantly sold well, Kate Spade, Waterford, Jim Shore and Fitz and Floyd. So whomever told you that about F&F ... is mistaken.

I found a Fitz and Floyd bunny candle holder for $4.99 but had a chunk taken out of it not sure if it was donated that way or the worker's, broke it was so sad to see chipped up. Tho I found a occupied Japan, donkey and cart for $2.99 for my personal use that was really neat too.

It amazes and bewilders me - which item can cause a rush of bidding! There is often no solid reason for it- no long age - no rarity- no famous artist designed it.. ...selling antiques and collectibles has got to be one of the biggest gambles for a job! Love how,you gamble girl!

Was that an error on the F&F turtle trinket sold for $320? Was it supposed to be $32 ? Wow! I checked the EBay listing and yes, it appears that bidding went up to $320. So odd to me that it could be that valuable.

What is crazy is that the same day CLL turtle sold 2/9 the exact turtle but with the box sold by for $20. Why would someone pay $320. If they had looked there was one for $20.???

@@floridavintagesellerakapatti I cannot fathom why. It’s cool to buy from a favorite KZbinr and if you have the ability I guess price is not a factor. I know I have gotten sucked into bidding wars where I just wanted to win. I had to stop when the price went above my perceived value of the item. I guess the lesson I took away from this “SOLD” video is to not assume the value (high or low) CLL gets is what the item is truly worth. It was only worth it to those bidders. Another lesson is to search other selling platforms for the same item before placing a bid. Buyers should make smart pricing decisions just like the sellers do. In the end, value is very subjective and price and value are not equal to each other.

@Margaret Pillsbury it would make better sense to me if it was an original artwork, one of a kind, limited addition, or by a renowned artist. I am always happy to see Jocelyn or Drew make a great profit because I believe they work hard and take risks. I am just quite confused on this particular sale. I love her sold videos because they are learning opportunities. I suppose paying way above market value is another way to support your favorite reseller. As a vintage buyer who is on a budget I cannot do that. I am not “hating” on anyone for making money. I am a little concerned when something like this happens people may go on the hunt for this item thinking they can get $320 for it. Maybe that’s where the phrase “buyer beware” is applicable.

thanks for the great videos i have recently purchased a coffee / tea set Keramos hand painted and the check out lady at good will broke the lid to the creamer should i resell the lot without the creamer included (will the creamer missing the lid bring the value down on the rest of the set) or just sell it as is with the creamer?

I loved all the poodles and would have grabbed that turtle dish too! You said people tell you F&F doesn't sell but I grab every piece I see and some pieces might take a bit but even my damaged pieces sell. I just list them as "a great inexpensive way to add to your collection." and list them lower than perfect condition pieces. I always love finding F&F and that turtles sold cost is why! 😊
